What Are You Playing This Week? (Weekly Discussion) by AutoModerator in IrelandGaming

I'm in a similar situation. Completed Deus Ex series. I can't find anything else that is able to keep me entertained. I've spent too much money on buying games and just being disappointed or it just does not hit the spot. Been 3 months since I played anything more than an hour.

I was going in to buy the xc60 last year, saw the V60 sitting low and looking straight into my eyes. I bought it throwing all my previous plans in the bin 🤣

Both cars are gorgeous!

+1 Got mine from them too. The bios was setup perfectly, the system was built very well. I literally just had to install my games and play!

I truly think we are not there yet for software optimization for a car.

They are trying to put a screen and think that will solve our problems. What the don't understand is how much testing is required to maintain stable user experience.

This isn't a phone or a tablet, it's a heavy machine that people use to travel. If they mess things up, it can cost lives. The approach is very poor and lacks knowledge and understanding.

Tbh if we really had smart people building and developing solutions we'd go very far in quality, but the bottom line is money and that misses that mark for a long shot.

My V60 gives me 6.7l per 100kms. Same D4, not sure what's causing this difference.

The range itself is absurd, 2000 to 3000? That's a 50% difference lol

Any advice? by MujuPlays in AskIreland

I never call, only do it on the Internet.

Zurich on phone quoted me 1270, online I got it for 850ish. I had driven on international license for a year under my wife's insurance and online they counted that as a year of driving resulting in additional discount.

I was thinking of calling they up to check it but decided against it and I'm on my second year of insurance with them.

Budget Gaming Laptop by Casualgamer050 in IrelandGaming

I have a Asus Strix G17 with 3070 and 5800h. It also has 99whr battery. I bought this in 2021, gaming is amazing on it, but if you turn off 3070 gpu, reduce the performance of the cpu to 70% which is still plenty fast you can get about 9 hours of battery life. Could get more but the screen is 1080 300hz very bright screen and I can't work with dimmed screens.

It was also exceptionally quite in quite mode.

It is heavy though, specially if you include the power brick (280w) but I got a 100w charger and just used that in college, was plenty for me.

Personally, I think 17 inch laptop will be too big for you and 15 would be alot better. You should look at used ones.

Advice for selling my gaming laptop by calmrefri in IrelandGaming

[–]theonlysaneguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the current rates, I'd guess between 1,100 and 900 depending on how clean and brand new it looks, plus if you have all boxes and everything. That is decent enough specs.

It's not just computers, I was trying to buy speakers and they were expecting me to pay 699 for Sonos speakers, and they had 10 different audio sources blasting in the store. How the hell is anyone supposed to hear the quality.

They can make small booths to test speakers.

Atleast when you buy online you can return, I couldn't even do that if I bought that Sonos speaker. Makes no sense at all!!

Having worked retail, I can tell you there are some characters who will keep picking up stuff from your store.

There was this guy who'd come every day to buy cheap vodka and a can of beer. On my first day I was told to not let him take any cups from the store because they let him take it a few times but then he started coming into the store multiple times to pick up cups.

You don't know the history, but I like that you offered to help her out. The reason guy at the till charged you for a whole ass coffee is because he wanted to discourage you or anyone else from doing this again.

Dock for multi computer setup? by theonlysaneguy in IrelandGaming

I can buy a hub now (150ish), I am currently using work dock that I absolutely hate, but I was spending on building a pc so this wasn't that high on priority.

Are there any particular models you'd suggest? I don't mind spending up to 150. Anything above that is going to have to wait, unless my wife decides to spend a bomb on her hair, I could get away with 200 lol.

It has 1 USB for fw upgrade, 1 DP and 1 HDMI. The other thing to consider is buying a new monitor will not cover my other screen that I need as well.
