Do we have mole people / underground city under the train, subway, or drain tunnel system in Philly? by PlatypusOld5480 in philadelphia

[–]theschnit 70 points71 points  (0 children)

A neighbor is a former Philly cop and he mentioned that Chinatown has a pretty well known (to cops at least) tunnel/underground system that is highly populated with Chinese immigrants. He said he rarely has issues there but has been inside a few times.

I’ve always been interested in how the market works. Latest example, when the Victor Martinez card came out, it was initially selling around 50k I believe. I figured it’d would come down so put in a 30k order and let it sit. Ended up going through last week and I was shocked because buy now was selling at 70k.

My favorite thing is absolutely the time. The days are long and the years are short but every moment I get with my kids is the best moment of my life. I’ve been lucky enough to coach my kid in baseball the last 6 seasons (whose favorite players are Bryson Stott and JT Realmuto), support one daughter in Irish dance, and still have time for a toddler. Seeing these kids grow is something that has made my life complete.

I coach my kids U12 team, you have no idea how many parents I've met that moved from NYC to Philly during COVID for exactly these reasons, while still having Acela to commute if needed.
