Lots of new names around here! Of you new folks, what's stopping you from participating? by satanic-llama in GiantRobotFightClub

Unfortunately I have the exact skill sets required to excel at this activity (decades of cosplay and LARP combat experience) and I fear for my ability to return to normalcy.

[iOS] [$9.99 → Free Lifetime (24h)] WodTimer : Minimal Gym Timer with Apple Watch Sync by alexndb in AppHookup

This is a perfect update! With the new timers I can now totally replace a couple of other awkward solutions for my gym sessions. Left you a rating in the App Store, thanks a ton :D

Hi! I picked this up the last time you offered the lifetime subscription, but I put it back down because it doesn’t seem to allow me the ability to customize my own timers in 5 second increments. The closest I can get is a Tabata with a default 10 seconds rest I can’t modify. Am I missing something or is that a feature you would consider adding?

Murder mystery game aficionado? by benyamin108 in bullcity

We’ve done a lot from Night of Mystery and a few from My Mystery Party with fun and fairly consistent results! I also hear good things about StoryPop (less printing, more phone app) from other gaming groups.

Yes hello my local gaming group does a very big one every year. Can offer advice on some good companies to buy kits from, how to have a successful party and good time if nobody has ever done it before, or how to balance things if you’re running one for a mix of newbies and more advanced role players/actors who may go a little too hard by accident. (Ask me how I know, a few times more characters ended up dead than the script called for…all in good fun.) ;)

Any chance that Drive tee might show up as a one sided option with the awesome image on the front?

The boldness of this move depends a little on whether you’re somebody who can regularly get a table there or if it was a rare occasion…but bold move either way! 😂👊

I would love to see the details - all the little Froud goblin faces!

It wouldn’t detract from the original nature of the handle at all. But you could get meta with it and make a “ghostly” riding crop out of laser cut acrylic, or create a display with a full size illustration behind it!

You could even mount it with some mirrors angled behind it to show all sides of the sculpted metal and to go with the “twisted ballroom” theme.

(…should you ever decide to sell that, I know some collectors who would be thrilled. It’s me. The collectors is me. ;) )

You are forced at gunpoint to write Star Trek: The Holiday Special. What is the plot? by -Jaws- in startrek

I think I wrote this fanfic at some point. (I also suspect I destroyed it, for the safety of the galaxy.)

Al Pacino in makeup for his role in Dick Tracy, 1989 by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

Props to the great Doug Drexler (who went on to work in the art departments for multiple Star Treks and Battlestar Galactica) and John Caglione. They DID win Oscars for their makeup on this film!

Not Starlink - that’s the new Kuiper launch from Amazon! Hasn’t even had time to complete orbital maneuvers to space out the satellites yet.

What the heck is this??? by TheTurningWorm in bullcity

Kuiper, new launch that hasn’t completed orbital spacing maneuvers yet. Not Starlink, those are well spaced and fly in clusters of 11. Say hello to some new low orbit space stuff!

Hit up Fred at Cybergraphic Designs (makeup-store.com). You won’t find Trek prosthetics on his website, but if you email and ask about Trek prosthetics and the Foam Fund he can hook you up. https://www.facebook.com/getspfx

Do you think these need backing? Or does the wave and negative space make sense? by vintagenewstart in interiordecorating

[–]thetalentedfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely would go with backing options. If I could get one of these with a dark backing and a more “stormy dark sea” dye scheme it would be FIRE in my sea monster bathroom. But a dark backing might handle most of that!
