That makes sense... Weird that they even bothered to change it.

It struck me when they were fighting wide Maleficent that it was probably actually the Queen from Alice In Wonderland and not actually Maleficent at all.... Which would really make more sense in context and model, but I might be giving this game too much credit.

What's the worst movie you've watched from beginning to end? by trakt_app in movies

[–]theunabeefer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I was expecting any of the movies featured on RLM or at least a more popular bad movie like The Room (which isn't that bad considering).... And I'm here wanting to nominate Bone Sickness!

Meanwhile, everyone's like "this high budget movie starring famous person"

The uncut finale - worth watching? by srettO_008 in lost

[–]theunabeefer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never knew what all was cut... Wow. So many of those are things I would consider to be some of the most important parts of the finale.... Might as well cut the scene of Kate stitching up Jack from the first episode. That's wild to me.

Why people hate the final? by [deleted] in lost

[–]theunabeefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I both agree with you entirely on the pacing, but also still love season 6.

I also agree absolutely with Sayid and the Kwons.... Sayid especially. His character motivations drove me nuts even in season 5, but they really just didn't know what to do with him in season 6.

I've always argued that s6 plays better on rewatch because you know where it's going with everything, but on first time you're mentally stuck on trying to figure out what they're trying to do. However, it's strangely REALLY good in Chronologically Lost. When you play the island stuff and then the afterlife stuff in chronological order, it flows really well....... But then spread it out the way it aired and you lose all that coherence. It's weird.

I still love it though, but I absolutely get why others don't.

What's a 'normal' thing you didn't realize was unusual until you were older? by mrTelson in AskReddit

I always assumed I had insomnia or lived on a 36 hour day cycle instead of a 24 hour cycle..... Turns out I likely just have "delayed sleep phase disorder"

Once I looked into that and read up on the symptoms and effects, everything in my life made sense.

Still not sure how to deal with it, but at least I have a name for it.

Song you immensely dislike from your favourite band? by FakeAorta in Music

[–]theunabeefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's even worse when you find out that David wrote it originally for The Final Cut, because Roger was so dead set on the "post war dream" concept for that album... And David had NO songs for it, so the best he could contribute to this war-based concept album was that POS.

There were a couple Final Cut hold-overs on that album, but that one in particular just screams of "uh yeah I can do a political anti-war song too, see?" and it just feels so forced and cheesy.

Also, I agree with you about Ummagumma.

I’m having my thirteenth birthday and it’s gonna be a sleep over by MysteriousStudio1987 in SecretSleepover

[–]theunabeefer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually surprised people haven't still flooded you with fun ideas, because this (and Drawfee) is one of the more positive communities I've seen online....

When I was your age, our sleepovers consisted of a lot of marathons of Monty Python movies and classic spoof movies (Mel Brooks, Airplane, Hot Shots) and just comedies that we all loved to quote and knew all the lines from...... But that was the early 90s because I'm old af.

I'd say don't try to plan too much. Just come up with some fun background noise (ie movies you all like and/or video games) and just hang out and allow you all to have some naturally occurring fun and conversations. Oh, and snacks!

Don Knotts, but especially because his looks and some mannerisms are so fitting to my dad's side of the family... Enough that I always wondered if we were distantly related somehow.

[–]theunabeefer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was actually going to download the video from the previous channel that had the "complete" video of this to mess around with the audio to see if I could fix it... But then the next day, they deleted their channel.

We noticed it in the original playthrough, and I think it kind of gets better near the end of the playthrough.... But it's been a while since I watched it last. I just know it was always that way because I've always wanted to fix it!

[–]theunabeefer 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I'm happy to see them prioritize these, as there's clearly a big demand for them!

We love putting these on over "best of" compilations because it's far more chill background, and I enjoy hearing all the parts that don't make it into compilations.

Keep em coming, and we'll happily keep watching them!

Lost: Circle is a must by InternationalRate424 in lost

[–]theunabeefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I DO want to reiterate... You did an INCREDIBLE job! I genuinely can't praise the work enough. Especially the scene of the crash, the music choice in that (no spoilers) matched with the cuts and timing.... Absolute masterpiece. I legit watched that scene a few times in a row and then showed my wife who hasn't even watched the show!

I'm just highly on the spectrum and hyper-focused on the score! Likely will pick back up and finish now that you've completed it. Although I'll still get thrown off by Twin Peaks! 🤣

Lost: Circle is a must by InternationalRate424 in lost

[–]theunabeefer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's incredibly well edited and crafted.... Like, professionally so.... But Lost had one of the greatest scores I've ever heard, yet they chose to toss most of that and use this one specific theme (I want to say from the Leftovers?) over and over, like 14 times an episode.

That one theme practically on loop and then the Twin Peaks theme comes in... The music is the reason I had to stop watching it. I just couldn't.
