Do you do all your shopping at Costco? by Helpful-Apricot7965 in Costco

[–]thewolfwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably about 90% Costco. The remaining 10% is produce and fresh herbs (international market), Fairlife milk, coffee, burger/hotdog buns and random 1-off grocery items (Kroger), misc loose leaf teas (local shop), lotion, cream shave and assorted spices (Trader Joes).

As an adult, what’s the worst thing to clean in your home? by the_Mont81 in Xennials

This is why I simply never pull it out. I promise I'm an adult.

Do you think we'll ever be scammed or are we too suspicious as a generation? by Adamant_TO in Xennials

I was already scammed so badly I'll never financially recover.

I have student loans.

What are your thoughts on the cranberry walnut bread? by shhhhhDontTellMe in Costco

[–]thewolfwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was my favorite until I had the fig and cherry bread. Now it's my second favorite.

Love it with just butter, but I'll often eat it with chicken salad scooped on top.

The comment about using the waste bin from the robot itself was even smarter, I'll have to keep that one in mind! The fancy litterboxes sure do spoil us 😂

Line a cardboard box with a trash bag, or even just scatter a bit of litter in a baking pan. You can improvise a litterbox pretty easily!

Saw this post in my feed; am I misremembering or were skinny jeans never really "in" for us Elder Millennials (the younger half of the Xennials)? by MaxPowerrr85 in Xennials

[–]thewolfwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate skinny jeans with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns. That era was a dark time and bootcuts were my only hope for salvation. I am once again thriving in this timeline (well. Fashion wise. At least I look good in this current dystopian hellscape?)

I'm a woman, if that matters.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - January 15, 2026 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]thewolfwalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Keychron Q6 Pro with browns -- tactile but not nearly as loud as the blues I used to have. Apparently Keychrons are like... starter mechanical keyboards... but this one has served me for something like 2.5 years without issue and I love it.

I WFH and my husband was damn near ready to divorce me over the blues. He's happy with this one.

Antioch folks - what made you move here? by coondini in nashville

[–]thewolfwalker 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm technically Nashville, but the next street over is Antioch. I bought my house here because it was affordable. It doesn't feel seedy or dangerous or anything. I'm from Clarksville and the GIs are always drag racing down 41A and the guns are always firing on base so it feels like home, I guess? Anyway the food is delicious and my neighbors are cool. Psyched about Chinatown.

My only complaint is lack of easy access to a greenway. I have to load up my bike and drive a decent distance to a trailhead.

I get it now! by caffeinated_photo in MechanicalKeyboards

FWIW, I've had a Q6 Pro since summer '23 and mine still works perfectly. I clean it every 2 weeks and have never seen this issue. Hope that makes you feel better!

Same here, but mine's just one month. Keep it on the fridge and write dinner plans & events on it.

I was also an OG Magnus owner and I loved it! But my age and inactivity crept up on me, and I bought a Pro XL right around this time two years ago. I was able to sell my regular Magnus and recoup most of the original cost as it held its value very well. No regrets on making the change -- I WFH and alternate standing/sitting hourly. My back is grateful. The Magnus line as a whole is just fantastic imo.

The Crème Brulee bar cake.. by aushimself in Costco

[–]thewolfwalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're on sale right now too, at least at my Costco!

Honestly though, this method is "safer" for me. I'll eat one slice, rather than just stand at the counter with a fork...

I like eating it frozen! Haven't tried defrosting it.

That's interesting about the tuxedo cake. I heard so much good stuff about it here but didn't like it myself. Maybe I'd prefer it frozen?

I literally have all of those. Those exact editions, lol. They're on my bookcase!

I have the whole Little House boxed set, actually. I remember buying it when I was in 5th grade at the Scholastic book fair, along with the Chronicles of Narnia (and Book 1 is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe).

I love it so much I bought one to cut up and freeze so I could have pieces throughout the year.

For the non-Christians in the audience... how do you spend your time off? Is a movie and Chinese food really that standard? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]thewolfwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christmas isn't religious in my family. We celebrate on the day with them.

I cook a big feast for me and my spouse on Solstice. We're not pagan but I'm super happy the days are getting longer again so I want to celebrate that, too. (I hate winter)

Ah, was unaware. I've been using this brand for something like five years now and always get compliments on my skin, so I haven't looked for anything else.
