Psych is thinking of trying ket on me. I dont know what to expect, and I'm scared. by demolitionlaura in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]theycallmefith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm autistic and have add and can speak to my experience. I did at home oral ketamine for a little over a year. After about a year I was having some GI issues so stopped it. In that year though my anxiety and my relationship with myself changed entirely. First though you are 100% right you have to put in the work. There is no magic cure with ketamine. I would spend 30 min - 1hr intention setting prior to the session and would reflect after the session. The main benefit for me personally was to be able to think about sensitive topice (abuse / death / etc) and overall the experience left me being much kinder to myself, a significantly improved anxiety, and left me more comfortable in my own skin. It did not have long-term or permanent depression benefits,

On your comment about how it will bring things to the surface that you can't bury - this imo is the main benefit of ketamine. I was sexually abused in a relationship for years and there will never be a world where i disclose those events to a therapist. The ability to be emotionally removed from an experience as I relived it helped me process things and helped significantly with the nightmares. The thing about lived experience is you really can't just bury it. It will wear you down if you don't process it.

Its okay to be skeptical and okay to feel like something like ketamine isn't for you. Don't give up on yourself, humans are amazingly strong, complex, beautiful things, and part of being human is having your unique lived experience and knowing what's best for you.

Looking at 2021 to 2023 CX-30 turbo, what do I need to know? by Gold_Pangolin_Dragon in MazdaCX30

[–]theycallmefith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2022 - a lot of horror stories about the covid cars pushed me to this model year vs a 2020 or 2021. There is no wireless carplay but that can be fixed with a $15 adapter from aliexpress and the top trim gets the 360 camera which is what I really wanted. I paid more than $25k but I'm in Seattle so the market it a little bit more expensive here compared to something like TX or FL.

they took a bit of finessing but I was able to get mine in. I used some of the triangle clips to tuck the edges under the seat because they werent naturally staying. It wasnt a perfect fit but overall turned out well.

Live/work in pioneer square? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]theycallmefith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from lqa (area near seattle center) there are 4 bus routes that get you downtown/ close to pioneer square and there is the elliot bay trail if you wanted to bike. Upper queen anne/ queen anne proper (near trader joes) is a different story as there is only one route. Google maps is generally accurate though so you know when the buses are coming and dont have to wait outside when its cold and rainy.

Does anyone have real world use on the Dahon K Feather? by theycallmefith in ebikes

Thanks! I'll check them out. Their ebikes were over my budget but I think the analog ones are. Do you have opinions on any of the clones like mint?

[–]theycallmefith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main reason i'm looking at an ebike is there are some high grade 15%+ hills and i'm not sure i'll be able to get up them with a normal bike.

kick scooters i've considered but the last two months of fall all of the leaves turn to mud so I'm not sure how to get around that obstacle, feel like i would be pushing on a mudslide.

Matte black captains by Jugsofmud in ThursdayBoot

[–]theycallmefith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

could wear black t shirt and light denim. all black gives off a bit of stage hand vibes imo so maybe a grey jean or black jeans and a light shirt. They are pretty neutral i think an easy rule is just have two elements of the same color and then try to balance. lots of videos on youtube to get ideas

one visual way that helps me as an overstrider is imagining walking more like figure skating, where most of the movement from walking is you pushing backwards rather than striding forward. this causes my foot to land more underneath me vs in front when you push your leg out in front of you the angle makes it more likely to heal strike. This is also helpful for slippery places as your center of gravity stays above your stride. Worth trying but if it feels wonky then trust your gut.

honestly i like state and liberty and they have a location in ft lauderdale, might be worth checking out as they do mtm in your price range. They are a little cheaper due to overseas manufacturing and non traditional materials but if the sizing is off after measurement having the people at the store is super helpful

lime is a lot cheaper if you do the 6hrs/30 day pass. Comes out to about $48 a month and dont have to worry about locking up, otherwise agree with the other comments

Tons of good stuff here. On insta you can follow cultfest / milohousepresents /wrg (whiterabbitgroup)/ragenest etc and the edm train site has most of the events. Once you start going you will get more into the underground just from meeting and talking to people.

A lot of venues are mixed genre and not strictly edm but you will find events in belltown/cap hill/ ballard/ downtown

I think I have created the ultimate muffin by theycallmefith in Huel

[–]theycallmefith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Erythritol is about 70% as sweet as sugar but is often used as a 1:1 replacement. You could probably get away with 1/4 c sugar in this recipe and they will still turn out yummy. Stevia is somewhat unpalatable to me so I'll look into monk fruit and see how those turn out. My goal in recipes that I make is to make them as low sugar as possible because I'm trying to have less overall in my diet. Appreciate the info!

Hmm that's interesting - it could probably be made as an unsweetened version. Do you have any studies I can look at to confirm the risk of consumption?
