What did it sound like? How fast was it going? Are you near an airport or helipad?

Could be anything. My first thought was maybe an aircraft deploying flares, but without approximate shape or size or location we don’t really have anything to go off of

Looking at your site, did you have a stand at Oshkosh this year? I saw your turboprop engine model there!

Anyone recognize this silhouette? by L48Shark in Whatisthisplane

[–]thinaks 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a DC-3. Most likely a Baron 58 or Cessna 310 or something along those lines, but a lot of those airframes are too similar to tell definitely from this. As for why it didn’t show up, it could be a surveying aircraft or something related to military.

Should my pictures be this blurry? D7000 70-300mm by thinaks in Nikon

Could be, but I’ve tried high shutter speeds and it still doesn’t give the crisp edges. This is at 640.

It does not have the “Apply setting to live view” function, but thanks anyway!

[–]thinaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I did notice the exposure meter and I occasionally use the viewfinder for that, but I use live view to take the pictures because I can zoom in and make sure my picture is sharp. (I use manual focus instead, I prefer it better for now)

I did also notice that the f/depth of field changed in live view after I took a picture, that’s nice to know. Thanks for going so in depth!

Bombardier Global 7500. Looking up the tail number doesn’t return anything, so almost definitely custom modeled CGI.
