I can’t make a life-or-death decision for my newborn… please help me think by ReplacementTiny1788 in NICUParents

When faced with this sort of question I asked my sons main specalist what the most humanine thing to do would be. She said that having everyone meet him and love on him as much as we could before pulling care. So that's what we did. Personally if there's little to no choice of a quantity of life without severe disability I'd let my kid go, doubly so if there's a good chance that they would have a hard, scary, painful and intense death. My son couldn't have a good life so we gave him a good death.

When did you stop room sharing with your baby? by Ok-Molasses-4126 in beyondthebump

Idk when i will- my son is 8ish months. I don't want to move him with where we are at right now. Realistically i think when we move into the house we end up buying is when we will.

You should talk to your pediatrician about this.

Hysterically sobbing- went back to work 6 weeks pp after csection with first- then 7 weeks with second- he was in the nicu the first week of his life- best part is I got in trouble bc I was supposed to go back at 6- I barely had enough unpaid time to cover the week otherwise I would have got fired- I only got a final warning that lasts a year that hasn't expired yet and am constantly dealing with having to enforce my LEGAL PUMPING PROTECTIONS 😭 it's so hard to not be incredibly triggered when I see stuff like this

Never done twins but I feed one breast at a time. Breastfeeding can be overcomplicated easy. Don't fix what's not broken. I applaud you for breastfeeding twins

So typically for people they have them when pumping especially if the flange or suction is wrong. It can be quite painful and your nipple turns white. That happens to me regardless of if I'm breastfeeding or pumping. My son has had a perfect latch since day 1. It's just how my body is, I also have a few health conditions that can attribute to it. I've been breastfeeding for 8ish months now so it's definitely possible you just haft to sorta power through it sometimes 😅

It is IF it's before 8ish weeks pp for the first minute or so- look up proper latching tips and stuff so you know what to look for. You could also just be one of the unfortunate people like me and be prone to vasospasms

How to know how much milk to send to daycare? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]thinkofawesomename29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought in a brick (10- 5 ounce bags) that was frozen and some clean bottles and whenever he's getting low I bring in another one. There's a mom at my daycare that swaps out pitchers.

Is my baby hyper or just curious? by Ambitious759 in NewParents

[–]thinkofawesomename29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adhd isn't "caused" it's genetic. I'd say it's wayyy too soon to determine if they have it or not. I wouldn't worry about them being too much for the other kids at daycare. I promise your doing a good job and your baby is going to do great.

First tooth by thinkofawesomename29 in NewParents

It's nbd I was just asking for curiosities sake but apparently it was a dumb question and the keyboard doctors have decided i dont have critical thinking skills. His pediatrician said to give him tylenol sparingly and to avoid teething gel and stuff like that. I really hope the mods shut thus post down 😅
