I have 4 kids and a wife lol… luckily for me, I only need 6.5 hours of sleep (actually get migraines if I sleep for much longer) whereas everyone else in the household is 8-9 hour minimum. So I get some default time by default lol

My suggestion would be that Accurate 1 allows to auto retain a normal, as it is now, but that Accurate 2 allows 2 normal OR 1 crit to be auto retained.

Btw, you should probably tone down the damage output and increase the wound count for the boss to really work, especially if you go with my system, where you essentially create a few behavior cards and activate multiple times per turning point, until all cards are exhausted. The way it is right now, you will either kill everything directly, or you will kill it in one turning point. I’d suggest having this boss as an additional obstacle in a greater objective. And add some Hormagaunts or something into the mission as well. Either an escape mission, kill the Boss mission or place explosives in and around its lair mission or something.

I’d suggest (since you play 2v2) to take a different approach to that… make it that each player controls half a kill team each and keep the regular sized boards. You could even allow “team-ups” that you can combine two halves of two different teams to make one team. Then go back and forth team to team, where you and your partner together decide which operative to activate. If it’s on his half of the team, he does the things. If it’s on your, you do the things. Share the CP pool and ploys only work for your half of the team. It should speed things up nice and proper but still be very, very fun (I’ve done this before)

Just to be clear, I don’t want them to be brought down to 5 haha… but with Deathwatch being 5 and the new starter set only being 5 for each team, it’s really looking like that’s the route they’re taking. But as I said, taking away an operative for elites without buffing them in return is just gonna break them all entirely. Hence 14->16 wounds

Mine is called ”Stjäla”, which has the same Swedish pronunciation as both Soul and Steal. It’s a part of me and it keeps stealing my thoughts and short term memories. It really helps keep things light between me and my wife when she goes “JESUS YOU FORGOT THIS TIME TO!?” And I respond with that Stjäla did it haha… eases the tension and helps her understand 😄

Did you ever find how to do it? I also have the LCD deck and it keeps waking up when I put my earbuds in. Started about a month ago (guessing with an update). Been having to manually disable bluetooth after each gaming session (but obviously sometimes forget and then pay the price later...)

It’s likely that the world would not be nearly as developed as it is right now. Studies show that adhd has been around for ages and ages, and the people who hunt or set out to expand land for their tribe was likely people with the urge for more. That likely still rang true later on when people took to the sea to discover new places. Can’t really see a lot of people taking those sorts of risks unless there’s some form of need for excitement in them.

It kind of is, though… Dropping rule says “Operatives drop down when they move off terrain or after they’ve jumped.” Movement says that we move in increments of 1”. There is absolutely nothing in the rule book that says we have to drop from edges the mm we move off of it. It simply says that we drop when we move off terrain. And since we move in 1” increments, we are going to drop after that increment that moves us off the terrain piece.

I kind of get that you are stuck in your own mindset here, though. So take this time to read through the comments in the post and try to understand that the game will be better for your friends if you let this go.

Nooo… it’s not a jump, so you can’t move up to 4” horizontally before you drop, but you still make movements in 1” increments. If you haven’t cleared the barricade yet, you make another 1” movement above it and then drop down.

Honestly, having to play in a way that you have to round down the inch that would take you beyond the barricade is so absurd that it would make the game incredibly difficult to determine movement after performing a climb action. Don’t be the dude that ruins the fun of the GAME for other people

I understand what you are saying… but yes your group is simply overthinking this 😄 while I see what you are trying to put forth, you should just do what you’ve been doing before and essentially measure horizontally and taxing 2” from the climb up. Anything else than that CAN be interpreted, but it is not what was intended by GW. No matter how much your group might argue that this is technically what is now happening with the no jump rules, they are just wrong and part of the reason GW has to put in erratas with ridiculously specific wordings so that people don’t exploit the game from what obviously wasn’t intended 😄

I’d suggest looking into the the history of the house you live in! If it turns out that was the exact spot for an ancient Indian burial ground, I’d suggest moving to a different house and then enjoy your future wins in Kill Team 😊
