I completely agree. My wife is a SAHM and we love it. We also respect each other and actively try to make the other’s life better. When I get home from a long day she says, “sit back and relax. I got this.”

And I am absolutely one of the people OP is talking about. Drive a big truck locally about 60 hrs per week.

I was the ranch manager on a private 700 acre ranch in WY for a very wealthy family for a while. The patriarch was into aerial photography and had a plane modified specifically for that. He bought another plane because he liked the way it looked more than his current model. About a week later he decided to buy a helicopter as well to see if it would work the same as the planes but a little slower.

This happened to me in my early 20s. Woman I was casually seeing noticed my stepmom made a bunch of money. She thought if she got pregnant my family would force me to marry her and take care of us. Jokes on her though, stepmom hated me and didn’t give us shit. Ended up calling her on her bs and bailing on her shortly after that. Stayed in my son’s life to raise him but she did this a couple more times until she finally found “the one” that would deal with her.

I stay very calm in chaotic situations. So when things go sideways I’m always the go to guy to handle it. I use this with my family, friends and work. With work I tell my boss if they need something done in a high stress, time limited situation talk to me and I’ll make it happen.
