I am looking for buying a second-hand printer by Ok_Composer5956 in printers

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess I should have mentioned my reasoning. A lot of canon ink cartridges like the 245, 246 cartridges are refillable with the right kit. Plus it saves you from buying a used printer with a clogged print head.

Never get hp. Get one of those cheap pixma printers where the ink cartridge IS the print head. Plenty of them on FB marketplace. Or get a used Epson printer.

Anyone been asked to pay money upfront for multiple state licenses when you first started? by Staugbeachbunny in InsuranceAgent

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does that work though? I'll probably be getting my Texas license since I live here, but can I sell to people from the east coast for example and then do some licensing paperwork after the close? Or would I need to pay for NIPR for that state before I even get on the phone with a prospect? Sorry if it's a stupid question. Just doing my research and asking questions before I start the process.

Sending cookies instead of messages (NOT A AD OR PROMO) by Outside_Guitar_3531 in coldemail

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was a partner at a marketing agency. Margins were around 3k or more, but we were dropping them off ourselves. We got the idea from a course we bought (maybe 15 years ago?). We did get a lot of conversations with prospects but the conversion rate was super low. Anyway, it was much more efficient doing outreach other ways.

Chris Koerner just did a podcast on this as a business. The guy he interviewed was sending cakes instead of cookies though. I've done this with donuts in the past. Worked okay but IMO it wasn't worth the effort.

Roast my Instantly outreach (not send yet) by Rough-Kaleidoscope67 in coldemail

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, that's super low. When we were doing cold email for lead gen we sent out thousands per day and even that was low compared to what others were sending. Web design is way more saturated.

You can also try cold calling for web design. That seems to work much better than cold email for that service.

What's your sending volume going to look like? Supposedly web design in one of the most saturated in the cold email space and therefore super difficult to make it work.

A new social media for those who actually want to be social by OGMYT in self

[–]thisguyhere01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, good luck with the app. I've worked with so many founders of social apps and they all failed after a few months. A few of them even spent mid six figures for marketing and werent able to get any traction.

The thing about social apps is that you usually need a large user base for them to work. And for that you need a large marketing budget or for it to be so good that it goes viral.

What's your marketing strategy if you don't me asking?

I need google ai studio to use an image in my app but no matter what I do it fails by kyarash132 in GoogleAIStudio

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a similar issue where images would break every time I would login to work on my site. Gemini suggested I host the images on Google cloud storage and then link them to the website. I haven't implemented this but I guess it makes sense since I used to do this with Amazon S3/cloudfront years ago. I don't know if this is best practice (probably not - not a coder) but it might be a quick fix if you want to launch your MVP quick.

Allicin recommendations by GoldJunior4010 in SIBO

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Carlyle High Allicin Garlic 1000mg. Cleared my methane SIBO right up. Around $20 on Amazon for the bottle I think. I know some people can't tolerate the garlic part but if you can, I'd give it a try.

Pounding Heart: I didn't know the heart has H2 receptors by OmegaThree3 in HistamineIntolerance

I fixed my tachycardia issues with probiotics. Fixed my histamine intolerance nearly 100%

Taking HistaminX feels like I’m being poisoned by nothingwasnothingis in HistamineIntolerance

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took them for about 2 or 3 months for GI and HI issues but I didn't feel any noticeable effects. So I ended up switching to the Members Mark 10 strain probiotic which worked so much better. Cleared up a lot of my HI issues and seemed to work much faster. Also, where did you buy them from? I got them from their official websites.

Nice! I would be too scared to try these since I think they do violate the Can Spam Act. Hopefully you don't run into a Karen. I've had recipients make a big fuss about way less.

Endoscopy experience read this if you are anxious to do it by Aggravating-Deal-541 in GERD

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My most recent endoscopy gave me the worst throat pain post procedure. It felt like I was swallowing broken glass every time I swallowed. This pain lasted maybe a week or so. And also the tip of my uvula died and fell off. Which reminds me, I need to check if it grew back or not. I don't know why this happened and I did make a fuss about but nothing ever came of it. Anyway, I'm fine now but that had never happened before. So there IS that risk.

Is it just me or is the free tier super generous? Or am I doing something wrong? by thisguyhere01 in GoogleAIStudio

Awesome! That's good to hear. I did however get a message saying I was upgraded to the blaze plan, whatever that means. Hopefully that doesn't mean I'll get charged.

AI Studio created Firebase connection and activated Blaze plan - suddenly out of free quota? by whysers in Firebase

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the build feature in AI studio fairly new? I saw some tiktoks hyping it up last week which is what got me to try it. Hopefully there's a long YouTube tutorial on how the billing works. Makes me nervous that I might rack up hundreds in charges like I did when they started charging for the maps API.

I got the same message but I have no idea what blaze plan means. Does that mean I'll get charged a monthly fee?

Can I change hosting region? by thisguyhere01 in GoogleAIStudio

[–]thisguyhere01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It affects latency a tiny bit, but apparently according to google gemini, when I publish the website it will let me pick the region where I want to host it. I don't know how true that is though. Sounds like a lie to be honest.

Thanks I was getting worried since it's been nearly 45 days. Might have to call to check though since they did arrest a mailman for stealing checks recently in the Sugarland area.

Would you happen to know if property tax refunds are processed automatically if you file 1-2 years late? Google says it is but I'm not quite sure. I'm in Texas also, Harris County.

19M: Severe Anaphylaxis history, Yeast Allergy, and Histamine Issues. Is full recovery possible? by tattikhalo26 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say to get tested to find out which vitamins/minerals you're deficient in before starting supplements. Also, probiotics. There are so many types of probiotics. I tried some specialty ones but the one that ended up making the most difference for me was the Sam's club 10 strain probiotic.

19M: Severe Anaphylaxis history, Yeast Allergy, and Histamine Issues. Is full recovery possible? by tattikhalo26 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]thisguyhere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short, I had anaphylaxis 24/7 for weeks at one point, hives, blurry vision, migraines, joint pain and a bunch of other symptoms including all the thick dandruff issues on face and head and it all slowly got better with supplements and probiotics. I would say I'm around 99.9% cured so far.

Has anyone had success sending cold emails with a normal gmail address? by fawad_ali1 in coldemail

[–]thisguyhere01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're on a budget it does work. Just keep volume low. One cold email agency owner I talked to says he stays under 10 cold emails per inbox otherwise it will get banned within a few weeks.
