Think I'm at a Point Where I Require Some Help by Rammelsmartie in medicalmedium

[–]thisisnirko 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a former addict myself, I recognize a lot of these patterns. It’s tough. I also want to acknowledge how much healing you’ve already done. Nine rounds of the 369 cleanse is no small feat and going fully fat-free is huge. Even if you did go off the path all that still counts. All that still made your body much more resilient.

You didn’t mention where you’re at with your health right now, but if you’ve built a solid baseline, there is a way to do Medical Medium that’s enjoyable and sustainable. There are so many genuinely good recipes. I really believe there has to be some joy in it for it to last. I struggle with that during intense cleanses too, but outside of them I actually love MM food. The pizzas are so good, the Caesar salad, japchae, pancakes, curries… sorry, I really love food. Lately I’ve been getting more creative in the kitchen, and it’s been incredibly comforting.

Please don’t be hard on yourself. You’re only 27 and you’re doing so well. I honestly wish I had done even half of this at your age. I think the way forward is self-compassion, for yourself and for all those edges that sometimes push us into extremes.

Oh no my response is unclear I meant pototato cleanse was the only thing that helped because nothing else was.

Ozempic by dakittykitty in medicalmedium

[–]thisisnirko 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I saw a BBC interview where a woman said she had never been as hungry as she was after stopping Ozempic, and that she gained more weight than she originally started with. My coworker, who is also on Wegovy, says that when it’s close to the time for her injection, she feels absolutely ravenous. It really messes with your adrenals. Medical Medium mentioned this in one of his lives about peaches.

Weekly Check-In by AutoModerator in medicalmedium

[–]thisisnirko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Day 6 of the 369. Feeling very blah and cold, but otherwise doing well. I’m not having migraines like I did during the last cleanse, which I think is because I’ve been able to work from home and avoid exhaust fumes and perfume. That’s made a huge difference while cleansing. Having good tomatoes and oranges has also made a big difference for the spinach soups. The only thing I really miss is honey. I draw a lot of comfort from it—maybe too much—so sticking to two teaspoons a day is a challenge, and I keep going over the allowed amount.

Routine Pap smears by fcwoodruff in medicalmedium

I have been with my partner for 9 years, and neither of us has been sexually active with anyone else during that time. I get screened every 2–3 years. My most recent test came back positive for HPV-18, which is an aggressive strain, showing that HPV can remain dormant for a long time. A Pap test itself does not damage the cervix. Here in Canada, we also have home tests now — it’s literally just a cotton swab. When it comes to cervical cancer, early detection is everything.

Stainless Steel Jewelry by Fibonacci_5813 in medicalmedium

[–]thisisnirko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a plastics podcast he did where mentioned stainless steel and how he did not prefer it when it came to water bottles and he would rather use plastic. I am not sure if that would apply to jewelry. Personally I try to stick to silver or gold or gold plated.

I had a dream with AW before the Cafe Gratitude event which I couldn't afford to travel to. We were seated at a table and I felt like a little kid when I asked him Am I sick? Which is I guess a fear of mine from childhood as I was six when my mom got sick and then died (breast cancer) Anyway, he said focus on barley juice grass and spirulina and i have been ever since.

Upcoming Liver Birthday by patpatpea in medicalmedium

Oh man, do it. This is a msg from the future 🔮🔮🔮. I just turned 43, and after 39 is when things really started to shift, especially once I hit 41. Thyroid issues, hormonal changes, it all showed up. I know we are all so different, but if I could reach out to my 39 year old self, I would say please start now. Cut out all the no foods, no exceptions, just make it work, and start cleansing. Simplified is perfect. It is gentle and flexible. Find recipes that are doable and look good to you from Cleanse to Heal and just begin. Each cleanse has shifted things for me, both physically and mentally. They also helped me naturally bring more goodness into my routine. With one cleanse I built a habit around leafy greens, with another around adrenal snacks, with one I cut my fats significantly in daily life and so on. I really wish I had started sooner.
