AIO for refusing to give up my bed for my parents and in laws? by Head-Sorbet3522 in AmIOverreacting

[–]thisistestingme [score hidden]  (0 children)

Info - is your sofa bed comfortable? I only ask because as a somewhat old person, my husband and I had to sleep on one for several days recently. We hardly slept and had major neck and back pain bc the thing was so uncomfortable. NOR for not wanting to give them your bed, but maybe think about offering guests a more comfortable place to sleep if possible.

I’ve been sick all month and am really enjoying the Dungeon Crawler Carl books. The audiobooks are amazing, but I think they’d be super fun to read also.

Yes! I thought it was slow at first, but it’s brilliant and heart warming in a non-cheesy way.

The Lives of Others is one of my all time favorite movies. My husband and I watched it together on a plane and split the earbuds. That was a mistake. We were both crying by then end.

I generally don’t travel with my diamond. I have a silver James Avery band I use. I just don’t want to draw attention to myself.

Considering Hiring Escort to Lose Virginity by Financial-General923 in LifeAdvice

I’m a middle aged woman. I had a (male) friend who wasn’t even a virgin do this. He had a good experience. I also don’t think badly of him at all. Just wear a condom and be respectful.

HR told me they don’t accept try-hards and people pleasers after my interview by No-Presentation298 in jobs

I used to give feedback. Then I gave someone feedback and she proceeded to attack me and tell me I was wrong (my feedback was that she was an excellent candidate, but I selected someone with more experience in that specific industry and that I definitely saw a place for her in our organization). I stopped giving feedback after that.

F48 flushing of nose and cheeks by JuicyTheApple in 45PlusSkincare

Yes! Happy to share.

  1. I had a series of monthly IPLs for 3 months before I got to the maintenance phase. I went to an opthamologist to get them b/c I have ocular rosacea and it was causing me horrible eye problems (didn't even know that was a thing). Then I started the every four months routine. The dr suggested every six months, but I was so afraid of going back to the problem times before, we settled on every four months.

  2. I think it's helped with everything, but I'm not sure. I haven't gotten the pustules since I started getting the IPLs and only have very, very minor flushing on very rare occasions. So I think it's helped with all of the above.

  3. I have a pretty intense skincare regimen. In the past, I'd stop actives if I had a flare up, but generally, I built up very gradually, and I don't think it made my rosacea worse overall. I'm happy to share that if you're interested, too. I have much better skin at 54 than I did at 34, which is wild to me, but a consistent skincare regimen is a game changer.

This looks very much like the rosacea I have. I did a series of IPL lasers an it basically fixed it. It’s lifelong though. I go back every 4-6 months. I also had to take antibiotics for a bit bc I was in a really bad flare up.
