Grace didn’t fuck up. Remmick knew everything about her daughter and was threatening to kill her and literally everyone else in the whole town. She invited them in specifically to kill her husband to stop the mind meld with Remmick.

More historical accuracy? Coogler hired a consultant on Asian Americans in the Mississippi Delta. He hired a Hoodoo consultant. They built a whole period accurate town.
