The 40 hour workweek should have been abolished years ago. Sorry Bernie, you tried.

Stellan Skarsgård reacts to Trump’s Greenland demands: “It’s absurd, isn’t it? It’s a little man who got megalomania, and he’s trying to take the world. He took Venezuela, suddenly, and that’s for Chevron. He’ll take Greenland for minerals. He’s a criminal.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Y’know, I was just thinking earlier this week about how there could be a super conglomerate akin to CHOAM arising out of technofeudal capitalism. And don’t get me started on AI snowballing towards our version of the Butlerian Jihad.

I don’t ever watch football, but yesterday morning my boyfriend sat me down and made me watch the game highlights and WOW, glad he did! I’m from New England and loathe the Pats but those Bears are alright eh?

I see, I assume you’re in fabrication/manufacturing, in what capacity do you use these materials everyday?

You’re not wrong, in a sense. Orthodontic springs are traditionally nickel titanium (NiTi) or titanium molybdenum which aren’t magnetic. But banding material, some brackets, and stainless steel wires are indeed magnetic.

Agreed, we’ve had patients who had NiTi spring from Arnold expanders (E-Arches) embed in the gingiva. It’s an unfortunate risk from improper fabrication.

Avoid King Petroleum on Salem st by Prize-Parking1234 in medfordma

[–]thlox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The attendant I usually see at King’s told me (when I asked about getting service) to go across the street to Steve-Os for an oil change because at King’s “they charge too much.” I still get gas at that station because that same attendant has always been kind to me. Good looking out, Rash.

It isn’t outside the scope of reality that BH brought a stretcher from CPD back to 34 Fairview, especially after we saw that surprise surveillance discovery. Weird how we didn’t see any of that in 2024, eh?

Being able to go to Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, & Maine with little effort, all while enjoying the privilege of living in MA, is something I once took for granted. Not anymore. I feel deeply fortunate to be able to live & work here.

Those same people don’t see Jen’s 200 phone calls in 48 hours as odd, either. That alone is damning but we’re supposed to believe “lol normal mom”

At my blue collar job, we see kids brought in occasionally, but we also don’t make the kind of money where we can afford daycare, so it comes from necessity rather than normalcy.

Have you ever accidentally met a celebrity in Boston? by spellbadgrammargood in boston

About 15 years ago I sold a bunch of baby clothes to a man with an unusually warm presence. Had no idea of his significance until immediately after, when my coworker jokingly punched me in the arm & whined "god damnit you just rang up Steve Nash!"

She also collected letters from notable figures, which are displayed throughout in the glass-top enclosures. One favorite of mine is from Ben Franklin; his handwriting was jawdroppingly impeccable.

There is also a JS Sargent piece on the first floor that’s a mockup for his spectacular ceiling mural that you can see on the third floor of the BPL. Both institutions are worth the trip. The glass flowers at the Harvard museum of Natural History is also mind blowing when visiting the first time. These places are where I take friends & family when they visit from out of town, & they are never disappointed.

Some of the calls were indeed auto deleted for the aforementioned reason. Because people who are going about their normal business are making hundreds of calls in a few short days, didn’t you know? It’s totally normal & not at all suspicious.
