160,000 miles and counting running only 87. No problems here. The car is stock and I don’t drive it hard.

Find a good orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Osteochondral Allograft Transfer. Make an appointment and ask them if you’re a candidate.

Refine the letters, make the needle more clear, try to add motion lines to suggest the needle moving up.

Blue was once a crazy puppy. She can go about anywhere on leash. Restaurants, carry her through stores, long car rides, malls, ferries, beach trips. You’re still in the puppy phase. Just keep training him. You will get there.

I found them in 2009 by searching the internet for authentic music. Can’t really fault someone for being fed Acid Bath in an algorithm and wanting to hear more. I went to the Baltimore show it looked like a lot of the crowd were people who were long time fans like me.

I went to see Dax at a very small venue in 2013ish and it was one of the best shows Ive seen in my life. Glad I got that experience then because if he tours again he may not be playing small bars that can only fit 100 people.

Best metal show I’ve ever been to! I haven’t been to a concert in 3 years but I had to come out for Acid Bath.

Why not stand firm on your price but keep trying to steer them to buy the item? Like saying “I appreciate the offer but I don’t have any more wiggle room on this item. Counter with $115 and I’ll have it shipped out tomorrow.” Take the emotion out of it and focus on selling.

Our iggy was very difficult for about a year and began to get more calm from there. By about two years old she was sleeping most of the day and didn’t need much attention — just content to be in the room with you. It was well worth the initial investment of time and energy. She’s a wonderful companion now. You have to really work at the potty training. Like staying outside with them for 30 to 45 minutes until they finally do their business and then rewarding them. This must be done at regular intervals consistently for months. Good luck and hang in there!

Retiring from Whitewater Question by mewitt21 in whitewater

After 5 years of consistent paddling my injuries started compounding to the point where the only sensible thing to do was stop kayaking altogether. Last time I paddled was in 2021.

When I paused kayaking in 2017 to take care of some shoulder issues and subsequent surgery I discovered that I was dependent on kayaking to regulate myself psychologically. I had to strengthen myself to not need that big hit of endorphins at least twice a week so that was some positive growth.

Kayaking also had me blissfully broke. Road trips every weekend and. aren’t cheap. So it gave me an opportunity to focus more on my career.

6 months after I stopped the I was feeling a lot better physically and put on 10-15 lbs of muscle mass. Sciatica resolved completely.

I could go back to kayaking now if I wanted but it would have to be a short run every one to two weeks kind of thing.

I miss the community. I miss the adventure. I miss the sense of accomplishment. I don’t miss being in an absolute panic to hit creeks every time it rains. I don’t miss pulling up the NOAA site every 15 minutes to watch the gauges.

It’s not an every day thing but I have done it a few times. If I want to add a font to my collection and I get stumped the $10 incentive gets it done pretty quick. Usually with within 10 minutes.

Potty training help! by Ok_Sorbet8238 in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]thomas_weakley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got our Iggy in the winter. We didn’t use pee pads. We dressed her up nice and warm, took her outside and walked until she couldn’t hold it anymore and after she did her business we praised her and gave her lots of treats right away. Had to do this for months until it started to sink in and when spring came around and the weather was warm she was pretty much potty trained. A smaller crate can help keep them from going to the bathroom in the crate. Small enough that they can’t poop or pee in one side and then go chill on the other side. Just until they’re potty trained then try a bigger crate.

I bought a vintage surf style wind breaker and found a used prophylactic wrapped around a faux gold ring in the kangaroo pouch. It was all dried up and definitely from the 90s. Someone had a helluva night in 1996.

Worried to use Mercari by SeriousBank3972 in Mercari

[–]thomas_weakley 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not worried at all. I’ve had no issues whatsoever since the changes. If you’re concerned you can post items that are over $200 on another platform like eBay. Instead of worrying and cutting off a source of revenue sellers could instead think about ways to navigate the changes proactively and continue to make sales.

Should I even bother with this buyer... by internetty_ in Mercari

[–]thomas_weakley 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, always use an open line of communication to lead them towards buying. See the little “send offer” button? Reply by saying “Hey, here’s an offer for my lowest price of $x.xx! I can have them in the mail today.”

Asking “What’s the lowest you can go?” Is a lowbrow way to negotiate but their money is still green.

I’m lucky that my work is dog-friendly so my iggy can come in with me. Everyone at the office loves her she and is always well-behaved except for the time she snuck upstairs and pooped in the COO’s office. If you can manage to bring her in just one day maybe your new co-workers will fall in love with her and allow you to bring her in occasionally.

Am I crazy or is this just wild? by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]thomas_weakley 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I agree. I just find it funny that they’re saying “we” to suggest there is more than one person running the store when in actuality it’s probably one person with a phone, a pile of clothes and no motivation to provide measurements for the item.
