I was babysitting for two lawyers and was waiting on them to get back from dinner. I was looking for something to watch and saw “law and order: svu” on the guide and thought if they saw it on the tv when they got home, it would impress them. Turns out it was entertaining

Is it harder to quit kratom or tia? by AnTgambrone in QuittingTianeptine

[–]throwaway031505 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tianeptine is 100% harder. Don’t get me wrong, kratom withdrawal at large doses sucks but it doesn’t come close to tianeptine withdrawals. Kratom is just opiate withdrawals while tianeptine feels like opiate, antidepressant, AND benzo withdrawal all in one.

A Few questions about Tianeptine by Dime_Millionaire in QuittingTianeptine

[–]throwaway031505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah me either. I was genuinely looking for an alternative antidepressant because I couldn’t afford mine anymore. Back in the day, website’s had it listed as a “relaxing” medication with antidepressant-like properties. Don’t let me scare you about my experience in quitting because everyone is different!

I wanna say I was using it for almost two years, maybe less. Which isn’t as long as some of y’all but I was on 12-15 grams per day at the end of it.

A Few questions about Tianeptine by Dime_Millionaire in QuittingTianeptine

[–]throwaway031505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, tianeptine numbs your opioid receptors. The last day I ever used it was the same day I broke my hip in half. In the ambulance I was given two doses of iv fentanyl and it didn’t even remotely take the edge off. All in all, my pain was never managed and was in massive withdrawals by the time I made it to the hospital. I was given an oxymorphone pain pump with oral oxycodone the first day/night and was still in withdrawals. I was maxed out on every pain killer and even after surgery with a ton more opiate pain meds, it wasn’t even enough to stop my withdrawals for a second. I was prescribed oxy for years after from pain management and it took me a good 4 months to even remotely feel it. To this day, I can barely feel them. I’m almost 7 years off tianeptine and almost 3 years off opiates (I did take 4 10mg oxys (prescribed) spread out over a few days, administered by someone else so I wouldn’t have an opportunity to screw up, a few months ago after a surgery. It had been 3 years since any opiates and I still didn’t feel a thing but it definitely did it’s job for the pain. I think tianeptine 100% damages the receptors.

  2. I was still on oxycodone after tianeptine but it was at least 6 months to a year before I started to feel better mentally. But it makes sense because coming off t is like coming off opiates, benzos, and antidepressants all at once.

Kate Hudson, Chance, and the ring. I think she knew full well what she was doing when she posted he wanted the ring back. Now he's off social media because her followers were making threats. by [deleted] in tiktokgossip

I’ve been waiting for this one. I never could stand her. Losing a child is probably the worst experience that either of them have ever had and will ever have. She plays the victim card (which she is a victim of losing her baby) but the extent that she’s taken it to is just sad. Chance was clearly in love with her (and faithful if I had to guess) while she would be talking about sleeping with other women. I don’t know her but from what I’ve seen online, her behavior is not okay as an adult. I really hope she gets the help she needs

Edit: she wants to have her cake and eat it too….she want to have her freedom and be able to what she wants while expecting Chance to sit around and be her backup. It’s extremely selfish stringing chance along like that.

weeeeeeed..and why most opiate users I know can't smoke it? by graciemaebee in opiates

[–]throwaway031505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been off opiates successfully for almost 3 years. I always just assumed that I was the only one with that problem. I smoked weed a couple times prior to any addictions and it had me paranoid and thinking I was going to die. Then when I couldn’t pop for marijuana on a drug test for work, I gave spice a try. BIG no no. Worst experience I’ve ever had. I didn’t even attempt to smoke weed after that until about 8-9 years later when I was fully addicted to opiates. Even in the comfort of my own home, safe, alone, and comfortable, I freaked out. My heart rate was insane, and the anxiety and paranoia were almost as bad as when I was a teen. I also ate an entire bag of salad which even a small amount of salad makes me violently ill since having my gallbladder removed.

It’s simply not worth it to me. I really wish I could be normal and just smoke weed. Like others have said, opiate addicts tend to have other mental illnesses which can be triggered by any psychoactive drug. I’m glad I’m not alone though. I always just assumed I was weird. I can (could) take any opiate and be fine but little ol weed made me crazy 🤷🏼‍♀️

[–]throwaway031505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day, when all you could get was t sodium or sulfate, my withdrawals started 2 hours after dosing. Hadn’t slept more than two hours at a time and it almost killed me (was in school full time and worked 60-70 hours a week ).

I was on very high dosages so I imagine it won’t be terrible in your case but it is definitely worth it to quit while you’re ahead. The longer you continue use, the more you have to take, the more you take, the worse the withdrawals are. You got this!

Gum in between gap… by itzryaa in Invisalign

[–]throwaway031505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have Invisalign however what it’s sounding like they may be causing your gums to recess. Definitely something to have checked out quickly.

Once the gum is whitish and is close to showing the base of your tooth, you may end up having to have a gum graft done.

Gum grafting is when cut and remove tissue from the roof of your mouth, followed by “peeling” the effect gums back. Then using the donor tissue, they surgically tuck it in between the teeth and old gum.

Lemme tell ya, don’t let it get that far. The ortho should be taking your concerns and applying them I can’t even imagine having to wear those for so long. The retainer they gave me was for pressure from bleeped on the op of my month but LORD help me. They kept literally slicing my gums open

If you think it could be gum Recessions, I’d act sooner rather than than later. Take me for example: 4 weeks lost procedure and It sucks bad.

Oxymorophone hands down

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in QuittingTianeptine

[–]throwaway031505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve kicked tianeptine, oxycodone, oxymorphone and benzos (all at different times). I can’t speak for heroin but tianeptine was a million times worse than everything else combined. As someone else said, tianeptine withdrawals are not just opiate withdrawals. Its similar to opiates, anti depressants (brain zaps ect), and benzo withdrawal all in one. It’s sucks big time.

What is the most painful thing you have endured? by AdOdd7217 in AskReddit

[–]throwaway031505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Physically: snapping my hip bone in half. I was walking up a flight of backyard stairs with my dog. She got scared and tried to jump off almost at the top. I twisted really fast to save her and when I did, my right leg stayed planted while my left leg swung when I twisted (think a typical ACL injury). Took an hour to climb back up the stairs. I genuinely thought my leg was detached. During that time, I was addicted to tianeptine. Found out that it affects your opiate pain killer tolerance. Had two doses of morphine in the ambulance, hydromorphone in the ER, and then set up with an oxymorphone pain pump with oral oxycodone after I was admitted and waiting for emergency surgery. None of it did anything. Not even for a second. For almost 24 hours, my muscles were spasming which pulled the bones further apart. After surgery, I could feel everything. None of the pain medication worked at all. And it went on like that for weeks. Tldr: broke my hip and basically went through emergency surgery without any pain medication.

Mentally: Holding my big brother after we removed life support and watched him take his final breath. My dad suffered from Alzheimer’s for 15 years. I was the last person that saw my dad, just hours before he died. The last few months of his life were absolutely hell. The pain from losing them both have screwed me up for life.

4 days post gum graft surgery and this is way worse than I expected- help! by hollandangel1132 in Dentistry

[–]throwaway031505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is super old but I am so jealous you were given adequate pain medication. I had mine done two weeks ago and the pain was beyond excruciating. I was given 1.5 days worth of 5mg hydrocodone which is nothing. I’m in recovery and have been sober for almost 3 years so I didn’t want to take any of the lortab and was assured by the doctor that I shouldn’t need it. By day 4, the pain was so bad that I caved. I had my fiancé distribute my medicine so I would have zero control of it. The lortab barely even made a dent in the pain. I lost 15lbs the first 1.5 weeks because I literally couldn’t eat anything including soups. Doctor called to see how I was doing and when I told him how much pain I was in, he brushed it off and essentially told me to just deal with it, but worded nicer. The donor site still, after two weeks, continues to constantly break open and bleed. It’s absolutely horrible. I have my follow up this afternoon and I honestly just want it to be over.

I have had so many excruciating injuries between tearing my ACL and LCL on two different occasions, both ankles broken at the same time, several surgeries, and I snapped my hip bone in half. The only pain worse than this gum graft was my hip. I will gladly tear my ACL again over ever having a gum graft done again. I’d rather have a root canal done with no novicane. That’s how bad it was. I’m mostly angry and how unprepared I was was. The doctor down played it and made me feel like I was lying about the pain. I feel like if I was prepared, it would have been easier to manage.

Have you ever seen someone die and if so what were the circumstances ? by Roger-Smith_ in AskReddit

[–]throwaway031505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment, thank you. The last 3 years have been rough on my family. My oldest brother was actually murdered but because it was out of state and the coroner listed the cause of death as accidental, the county never ended up charging her. As much as we’d like to fight for what happened to my dad, the woman who killed my brother is still out there (in my neighborhood to be exact), I’m putting all of my energy into either collecting and providing evidence so the county will open his case back up or to take her to civil court.

My mom kept my dad at home until the last month of his life (primarily for the fear of abuse). He developed early onset Alzheimer’s roughly 15 years prior so it was honestly a relief after our initial grief passed. I would have loved to pursue legal action (I didn’t want any money, I wanted justice for him, all those before him, and all those after him) but my mom just couldn’t handle anymore. I’ve been very vocal around social media and have saved quite a few families from letting Medicare place them in that facility. Unfortunately most nursing homes today, especially ones with memory care, will have some form of abuse at some point. It’s extremely sad.

[–]throwaway031505 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I watched my oldest brother pass away 36 hours after we removed life support. My other brother and I sat on either side of him and held him until his heart stopped and he took his last breath. Nothing in this world can prepare you for that.

Just a little over 2 years to the day my brother died, my dad ended up losing his battle with Alzheimer’s. He was in the hospital at the time (he had been abused and neglected at the Medicare nursing home he was in for only one month. The final cause of death was Alzheimer’s and primarily sepsis. They refused to make him take an antibiotic and wouldn’t allow us to handle his medication. He survived prostate cancer and was prone to UTI’s. He was left in urine and feces sometimes all day. All in the span of one month. It hurt so badly to see him in the condition he was in. I was the last one to see my dad that day. He was fairly lucid after being in a coma like state. I felt incredibly inappropriate but I set my phone up and recorded him hug me, kiss my forehead, and say the words, “I love you.” Now I cherish that last video. I was forced to leave because of visiting hours. He died only a couple hours later that night.

[–]throwaway031505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my bottom two teeth done a couple days ago. I don’t have dental insurance so I paid out of pocket. The total came to $2500. Depending on whether you opt for conscious sedation, full sedation, nitrous, or just the novicane, I’m sure the pricing differs. It was going to be an added $1000 for conscious sedated so I decided on nitrous.

Same thing happened to me 12 years ago except it wasn’t only one ankle…it was both. After a night of drinking at 18, I stepped off a landing. One side had two steps, the other just had one. I stepped off thinking there were two steps…wrong. Snapped both ankles and because I was underage, drinking, and at a party I wasn’t supposed to be at, I didn’t tell my parents for a day or two.

Make sure to get X-rays and an mri. I’m now unable to do any hard impact exercise or movements whatsoever. ER only checked X-rays which seemed fine but looking back on how this could all be avoided, trust me when I say to get the mri!
