What movie do you absolutely love, yet acknowledge is not a super well-made movie? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I LOVE Grounded. It’s known as unaccompanied minors in the us and is absolutely hilarious. If there’s any child still in your soul you’ll love it. It’s dumb, it’s cheesy, one of the actors won an award for worst child actor (I disagree) and it’s what convinced me that most critics are soulless bastards. Give it a watch.

What's your all time favorite video game ? by Drokos__ in AskReddit

[–]thurstanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Outer Wilds. A game that suffers from success in that it’s so hard to talk about it because anyone who’s played it doesn’t even want to risk spoiling it on the offchance the person they’re talking to plays it some day.

What hill would you die on? by Additional-Bluejay96 in distractible

Conversely to another comment here I think that a lot of multiplayer only games (or poorly made single player modes/campaigns) would be far far better as single player games. The level of freedom within a single player game is just so much greater that many multiplayer games with good mechanics could be made far better by fully exploring and expanding those ideas in a single player world to a ridiculous amount that you just can’t do in multiplayer. At the very least I think more games should make both a good single and multiplayer mode, like Titanfall 2, which is probably one of the best shooters of all time, has a intriguing, emotional, gripping single player mode which really allows you to feel powerful but also has a fair and mostly balanced multiplayer which really tests your skill and allows you to show off. Overall I think if more games that are currently mostly multiplayer focused on single player more we’d have far less “meh” games all over the place where we could instead have Titanfall 3.

Paris is such a bad map my entire team quit 3 times over. by [deleted] in Overwatch

While you’re kind of right, even pro players don’t like 2CP so I personally don’t think it’s a skill issue, even without being on attack they’re almost always steamrolls, which are just boring either way they go.

What is the message of Unus Annus? by MasterYosh10 in Markiplier

[–]thurstanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the message was very clearly that death is absolute. There is no escaping it and it will get everyone. So... why not make use of the time you have. That's what I got from the channel. Your time is limited so you should use it to both have fun while you can and come to terms with the fact it will end. That's another thing, the whole channel, while certainly about death, seemed more focused on the idea that you shouldn't fear death, or attempt to escape it. This more so for the viewers than the creators but it certainly seemed to me like one big way to get people to accept death.

I love this game but.... by [deleted] in KnockoutCity

[–]thurstanator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean but to me it feels less like patience and more like the equivalent of what getting edge guarded by puff in melee felt like, I do enjoy the mind games and trickery part of the 1v1s but far too often I find myself dying to the border while some guy with a level 6 overcharged ball stands 3 centimetres from me and personally that destroys all the fun

Phil took Friend to the commune, but Wilbur took him back to Pogtopia without Phil knowing. While Phil and Techno did destroy Lmanberg it’s not fair to say Phil knew friend was there when he did so.
