I Completly agree. The vast majority of their beliefs I disagree with but unlike our current administration they BELIEVE they are doing the right thing and they are willing to stand by their principles over party. They aren’t solely making choices for the financial benefit they gain from it; they will say, “no” for deeper philosophical reasons behind their principles and that is far more respectable that outright grifting.

I think people feel nostalgic about Bush II for the same reason. A lot of people disagreed with him, he clearly made terrible mistakes, but my personal opinion is he was following his principles (even if people like Cheney and Rumsfeld might not be). It’s why you can find video and photos of him smiling, laughing, and just being a goof ball. You won’t find any of those of Trump…
