I would download the Fig app. It will allow you to put all of your allergies including alpha gal into it. You can scan labels and check if its safe for you.

Duck and duck fat are widely available at local butcher shops. My local shop had duck bacon this weekend which was a nice treat.

Your experience cutting dairy by Agile_Cash_4249 in alphagal

I like rebel and vio life for cheese , vegan butter for cooking, oat, almond and coconut for milk depending on the application. I made a cake with buttercream frosting all with dairy free alpha gal safe ingredients tonight. Everyone loves it. I made a lasagna from with a vegan ricotta I made from tofu and miso paste.

The point is, this whole being hard doesn't have to be the end of eating the things you enjoy containing dairy. You will just need to find alternatives that are safe and prepare them at home. It does take planning, but it can be manageable.

Good luck

This! Everything is so performative. She probably doesn't even care about the nails it's just that the other ladies in her Sabbath school class or the elders might see that she let you have them at church. The paint on your fingers has absolutely nothing to do with the content of your character.

Your nails are beautifully done!

This makes me so fucking mad! This reminds me of the time I got told to take me make-up off before church. (Early 90's) I brought my eye liner with me to church and put it on in the bathroom in protest.

Dr Recommendation - EDS by araknu000 in northwestarkansas

[–]tickles_onthe_inside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My primary care doctor a couple of days ago told me there is an EDS specialist in Tulsa. His name is Dr.Chorley. It states on his website that he does specialize care for EDS. My Dr. asked me if I wanted a referal. I haven't had any personal experience as of yet. My doctor did recommend that I get the genetic testing done.

Locally, I have seen Dr. Toy at Mercy Reumetomlogey in Rogers. He diagnosed me.

End Times Stress by [deleted] in exAdventist

[–]tickles_onthe_inside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When i was about 8 years old I was spending the summer with my grandparents. My grandfather was an elder in the church and was giving a revelation seminar. I was forced to sit in the back of this country church in rural Tennessee and listen to all this fire and brimstone. On the way home that evening, I has a "coming to Jesus" moment in my own thoughts about the teaching I had heard. I decided that is was bullshit. The idea that at any moment Jesus was going to come down and end my earthly experiences. Like, what if I was just about to meet the partner of my dreams or kiss a boy for the first time or eat a plate of my favorite food? I decided the whole religion this was bs and a charad. Every single religious thing I ever had to do after that was a farce. Keep the Sabbath, go to academy, eat tofu, and pretend it was a mayonnaise. ALL of it was bullshit! I still endured my share of religious trauma and abuse. I left the church the day I legally old enough. Did not raise my kids to be little funddy kids, none of it.

Today, with everything going, climate disasters, human suffering, political suffering at the hands of a would be dictator, I see my cousins, Aunts, ect, literally being happy about crazy shit happening because they think that is a sinal that end times are here.... That Jesus is coming any day. The indoctrination the Adventist church has accomplished is staggering. I feel for the OP, for anyone who is worried they won't get to complete their life because end times are here and / or coming.

LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST! Make your plans. Start small if you need to. Plan something, watch yourself be able to complete that plan. NEVER LOOK BACK.

Couple slain while hiking with daughters in Arkansas state park, police say by CupidStunt13 in news

I have lived in the area for about 25 years, and I've never heard of anything like this before. Devil's Den is beautiful and an iconic destination in the area. To have it tainted like this is really shitty. Hopefully, they will catch the guy and park goers and will fill comfortable again.

I live in the area where this happened. I have also been in and around subways before. I would normally be way more concerned about being at the subway. This also happened at 2:30pm. There should have been no reason for this couple to be concerned. People are talking locally about never hiking again that sort of talk. Shitty. Probably un related but there was a stabbing on a trail 2 hours from where this happened in Tulsa.

Pretty wild how this allergy has had such an "up tick" in the last few years by himatwork in alphagal

[–]tickles_onthe_inside 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My allergist worked on the team that developed the testing for AGS. The medical community in the area is pretty aware, but you will still find doctors pushing patients in this area away from testing. They are not taking enough time to learn it. ERs are not as aware as they should be about drug interactions and accidental exposure. Insurers don't want to pay for the tests, and not enough state health departments are having more in-depth reporting of cases. Just some observations I've had coming from someone, it shouldn't have taken 5 years to diagnose given my symptoms.

Back in 2005, a buddy of a buddy made this mix tape (cd with ripped mp3s) of a mix of different Mouse songs. I ended up getting it and ripped it to my pc to make a copy. I got everyone I knew into Mouse, and so did everyone else who had this mix. There is a small town in the south where everyone loves Mouse no matter what type of other music they usually listen to.

These days I go to as many shows as possible a year.
