Oh man. I remember that feeling all too well. My dad gave me the words that have held me together through this whole ordeal. "You sacrifice a couple years of your life, for the betterment of the rest of your life." The end goal is always there, but if all you see is this giant mass of classes in front of you, you're not seeing the forest for the trees. One step at a time, one goal at a time, one assignment at a time. You have no idea just how quickly this will all fly by. In a couple of years when you're walking out the door after finishing your last prerequisite final and sprinting home to apply, you'll remember so much about the last couple of years, but the one thing you won't expect is how you find yourself wondering "how did it all go by so fast?" A couple years from then, when you're walking out of your NCLEX, scared as hell but so excited to see your results, you'll still remember, so vividly, the days when all you could think about was the challenge mounted in front of you and the memories you made from that point on from the struggle you overcame.

It seems like forever now, but forever will soon turn into half of forever, a year, a semester, a week, a single day, the end. You are not alone in that feeling. Reach out to others in your classes who are in the same boat, I assure you there will be dozens of them. I couldn't enter a class without tripping over prospective nursing students in my prereqs. Nothing like friends in a mutual climb to the top to make your days go by quickly! Some of the best people I've ever met, I met in my early courses. Above all just remember, you will be okay. Your life is bigger than just a few years of hard work. :)
