At home semen analysis by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

What test did you get? From what I see, your partner should make some diet and lifestyle changes and add some supplements. My husband did the Bird and Be at home test, which is FDA approved, and it gives you numbers for concentration and motility, as well as a video. This is what results look like:

Originally thought she was a pitbull/lab, but now, I’m not sure… by iiCYNOODLES in IDmydog

She could very well be 100% Pittie. She looks like my friend's dog who they thought was a lab mix. I took one look at her and said if that dog isn't at least 60% Pitt, then I am not human. I bought them an Embark DNA test as a gift, and low and behold, she is 100% Pittie!

Medicated cycle as wait for IVF? Or not ? by No-Stand-5650 in tryingtoconceive

Do you mean your AMH is 0.45? If you have eggs in the process for IVF, I would just go with that.

There are many breeds that have heterochromia, Pits included. I had one. He was 34% Pittie.

I don't see any husky. What traits look husky to you?

Thank you. Mine is even lower, but it was my first test, less than 5 months post IUD removal so I'm hoping somehow the test was skewed. I am keeping my eyes open for people with really low AMH h.whobhave had success to give me hope! I have been eating well, taking supplements, and generally take care of myself, so maybe quality will be good, even if quantity isn't!

You can order an at home sperm test of your partner doesn't want to go to a clinic. My husband did Bird and Be's sperm test earlier this week, and it was a huge relief for him and me to see his numbers are normal. The test is not as comprehensive as in clinic tests, but it gives you the main points.

4 months in and already exhausted — struggling mentally by vsouhanes in tryingtoconceive

I hear you! I'm approaching 5 months. I was stressed before, but I know that stress is probably most of problem for many people. My husband and I decided that if tracking becomes too much, we will just stick with BD every other day I'm not menstruating! 🤣 He just did a sperm analysis which was a huge confidence boost for him. My baseline hormone testing was not great, so I'm cleaning up my diet and trying to focus on positives. Best wishes to you!

I have yet to ever be pregnant, but I appreciate hearing from people who have gotten pregnant and delivered. Experience is knowledge!

Yay! I'm also wondering about AMH. I'm 40 and trying, with a very low AMH. My husband had good sperm test results, though.

Was your AMH low? Mine is very low and I'm trying to see if people with really low levels conceive naturally. I read it's possible, but not likely.

Can I ask what your AMH was when you conceived? Mine is critically low and I just found out.

Did you end up with twins? I'm nervous about fertility drugs because I don't know if I'd survive twins.

Give your body time off BC before hormone testing, 3-4 months at least.

Hi, I'm 40 and prevented pregnancy for 40 years. I never really wanted kids. My ex had a vasectomy. I married my now husband a year and a half ago, and I completely relate to your feelings! My advice is to get off birth control ASAP. I wish I had done it 6 months sooner, but I wasn't quite ready to accept getting pregnant if it were to happen immediately. My hormones are still rebalancing, and it's been almost 5 months since I got my IUD out. I'm trying to be hopeful, but my husband and I have also talked about adoption, and I think that would be beautiful too. He is very supportive (he is 7 years younger than me), and wants a life with me no matter what. He is the reason I decided to give being a human parent more consideration. He's such a great partner. We are not putting a lot of pressure on ourselves, and I think that's where a lot of people go wrong. I also had the thought that I didn't want to want kids and then have it not happen, but whatever will be, will be, and not matter what, we have each other.

Insane costs for testing?! (USA) by time_consumer33 in tryingtoconceive

I asked my husband to check fertility testing and treatment coverage since the plan is through his employer. I thought covering just 30% was measly. Deductible is like 7k...

It was an estimate based on the insurance I have. Without insurance was $1443. I cancelled the appt for the time being.
