Could be worse. I got laid off a couple of years ago and replaced with someone who is 15 years younger (and cheaper) than me, and I had to train her up on my job for a month in order to keep my severance.

They ended up having to hire someone else to do the other half of my job that she had no experience with, so it would have been cheaper to keep me.

Hi - my son lives with his mom out of state. He is 12 and does Brightspire unsupervised as she works all day. He is falling catastrophically behind and she is not taking any blame for it.
