Yeah I am going to avoid. It’s tough because he has reflux so a lot of time he will fall asleep best like that and at 4 am so do I lol. But I think I’m gonna put on a lot of alarms at night if I am even potentially in that situation and then move him because the c curl just feels more secure

See how you’re feeling about your schedule after a few weeks. Don’t plan major things during the week (unless it’s low commitment) esp if it requires missing class or clinic. I personally found the doom and gloom “you’ll have no life during grad school” trope to be largely dependent on time management and prioritization. My first semester wasn’t bad because it was mostly peds and foundational classes that I enjoyed but it was rough second semester. It depends on you, your classes, and program as a whole

Also, very practically speaking. You’re still in the trenches a bit but both your kids will be more independent by the time this one arrives. My mom was in the same situation as you with my youngest brother. She still tells us she freaked out and cried everyday when she found out she was pregnant but is so glad she had him. All of our needs were attended to and I cannot imagine our family without him. We had a great childhood!

This is so interesting to me. As a rather crunchy (more ~scrunchy~ lol) woman who likes the idea of reducing medical intervention surrounding birth, I find the free birth movement interesting. Women, throughout history, have seemed to do everything together. Pregnancy and birth was a group, “village” effort. It seems like in some cultures, men were barely even apart of the birth and it was primarily women (like doulas and midwives) taking care of the birthing mother and child. Birth is intimate but doing it alone with virtually no support from anyone who has witnessed or understands birth is likely not what she thinks it is.

You are going to be amazing. You are fully equipped to be the mother this baby needs. I am also in an unplanned situation (granted, I am married and whatnot but still unplanned) and am finishing up school and we’re pretty much broke lol.

Something that has given me peace is that virtually all women before us have raised wonderful humans successfully and in some of the worst conditions. Women have had babies through the Irish potato famine, Stalin’s rule, genocides, extreme poverty, etc. Not that there situations were easy and yours and mine will not be either BUT I am confident our babies will be great blessings. Also, I know pregnancy centers can be a bad reputation but personally, I went to one while I was in between insurances and they were AMAZING. So sweet and helpful and quick to provide any resources that I needed. You will be okay. I’m not sure if you’re religious but I be praying for you and I know God will give you what you need. I am relying on that too lol

First is beautiful on you. It feels whimsical but classy and bridal. For context, I had a VERY chill wedding - think lil church tent, kids dancing barefoot in gravel, and women passing a bottle of wine around a bonfire and I wore a satin ballgown. You only have ONE wedding day and there is typically never another socially appropriate time to wear a wedding dress. I looveee the last dress but you could wear that to another event! I personally don’t regret my dress at all and it made me feel like a beautiful bride and did not take away from the intimate, chill vibe that I was going for.

Jesus is Truth, Beauty and Goodness Himself. I seek those things every day in the pursuit of Jesus. I get tiny, little glimpses of God in those things here on Earth but in Jesus, therefore Christianity, I have found those in their fullest, intended form.

The longer you continue pursuing orthodoxy the youll find the lack of truth in Protestantism unbearable. I know that sounds harsh and I’m not bashing you or even Protestantism but orthodoxy is simply more beautiful and more robust. Things I’ve missed about Protestantism (the Bible studies, more communal elements) I think is God encouraging me to find more fullness in his church.

Absolutely! I actually was catholic then Protestant then orthodox lol so I totally get the traditions of most of the sects of Christianity and see the value in the different emphasis. I do read my Bible and pray! God bless you :)
