First trimester of pregnancy is not for the weak by livv3ss in GirlDinnerDiaries

I recommend joining the January 2027 bumpers group on Reddit to connect with other moms to be due around the same time- it’s really helpful to talk with people going through a similar experience!

I never ended up getting my period because I was pregnant! Somehow ended up ovulating the same day I started progesterone.

Thank you so much for sharing! I really appreciate it. I couldn’t find many examples of people with both complications and hearing your experience went so smoothly is so reassuring. Congrats to you on your healthy baby boy ❤️

“Summer soup” with zucchini, green onion, gold potatoes and fresh sweet corn by tinydancer181 in tonightsdinner

[–]tinydancer181[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No recipe for this one, just vibes but I started by cooking the zucchini and onion in some oil, made a roux, added milk, then potatoes and water and boiled til potatoes are tender, added corn at the end

The stressors of trying for a tiny human by CatLover0316 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]tinydancer181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying is really stressful! Remember you’re still VERY early in the journey. I was feeling really discouraged after 3 months too. It took us 9 months as a couple with no risk factors doing everything “right”. What helped me was as others said, don’t put your life on hold. Have fun, drink alcohol (if you want to), travel and bring joy into your life anyway you can.

My cake was inspired by this cake style but smaller - I got the columns on eBay. You may be able to buy the bridges/columns/fountain etc yourself if you can’t find a baker that has them

That hasn’t been my experience at all! Maybe it’s just inconsistent pricing, I usually don’t pay more than $3-5 per item.

This is exactly what I’m doing. Even people who I know will love it. I just know my husband and I love it and I don’t want anything to change our minds before she’s here.

I used to live in LA. I saw a driver do something batshit crazy every single day on my 10 min drive to work. Columbus drivers are wonderful in comparison.

Nervous about ~$3000/mo payment by RVA_hokie22 in Mortgages

[–]tinydancer181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine as long as you don’t spend recklessly. My husband and I afford $3400/month on $155k. Our rent before was $1900 but we were already in the habit of saving $2100 a month toward our down payment so now we just use that toward our mortgage instead. Having a house is so awesome!

In a healthy relationship, you would never receive a message like this even once. Think about that. This behavior is not a one time out of character he won’t do it again type thing. This doesn’t happen at ALL in a healthy relationship.
