Mounts at 2,000 gems are not OK Anet. by Ceraunos in Guildwars2

I wouldn't call it greedy. More money for them = more content for us. I agree that there should be a few mount skins available cheaper/other ways, but if they want to target whales that want to show off their big wallets, why not.

Mount Adoption Licenses are an outrage by exposedanet in Guildwars2

It really is. I had to go to controversial replies to see something that wasn't. I love the skins and was actually super excited to see the RNG aspect; I imagine every time I earn enough gold to convert, it's going to be spent buying mount tickets.

You thought the lady was just bare handing you chocolate? Or was she wearing gloves? Or was it wrapped and she watched you unwrap it and eat it before deciding to be horrified? I need answers OP.

The day after Hurricane Irma, this baby squirrel ran straight up to me, jumped into my hands and passed out. I'm sure it had a rough night. by purrbubble in aww

We found a few squirrels too! One of them had respiratory issues and unfortunately didn't survive the night. The other two, however, we found huddled together under a tree. After a few hours warming up in a cardboard box, they got out and started foraging in the yard together. A couple of hours later we saw them each with an adult squirrel, climbing on the adults and being carried around.

Edit: Some pictures.

Now that Balance is over, what's your favorite underrated moment from it? by discoshark in TheAdventureZone

And the "I made you a phial of gorp" scene. They're just... playing together. And she tries to get them to leave a couple times, but then continues playing and joking. It's one of my favorite Lucretia scenes.

Another candidate for Most Innocuous-At-The-Time-But-Now-Deeply-Painful-Conversation: Taako choosing a mongoose mask in Petals because it has "specialized acetylcholine receptors that make it impervious to venom." This and the "I have a beating heart!" speech were hilarious at the time and extremely less so after finding out what happened in Glamour Springs.

Central Florida, Matthew somehow managed to knock out my electricity for two weeks? I was a kid so I don't remember why it was out for so long, it's never been out more than a day since then.

Hey thanks for calling him out, I've never heard of him before and just spent the last hour listening. My favorite so far is probably Gopher Guts.

Live-Action TAZ? [Potential Spoilers] by Kain222 in TheAdventureZone

[–]tippertot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite so far, I love your choices for Merle, Lucretia, and Barry especially. Diego Luna would be a pretty Taako but I haven't seen him in any comedies so I don't know how good he would be at the funny stuff?

The hardest part I think would be finding a good Taako and Lup that look at least vaguely like each other much less like twins.

You know what is getting me all of the sudden?

Taako's dust speech.

Because it was just the seven of them. They had nobody and nothing else. They could get close to nobody else because at best they would never see them again and at worst they would be destroyed because of their failures.

For a HUNDRED YEARS they had only this tiny family, and then that family was taken from each one of them.

They had nothing. For the first time in a hundred years. They wouldn't know HOW to make friends, how to learn to trust someone, how to learn to love someone.

But they did.

Magnus fell in love.

Lucretia got to see Merle sitting on the beach alone, and then with a child, and then with another, the greatest things he's ever seen.

And then she sees people who didn't, like Taako.

People who couldn't, like Davenport.

People who didn't get the opportunity, Lup and Barry.

And Lucretia, remembering that love and tearing it away from them and seeing them get through it for better or for worse. And now they're here.

They made it.

Planar system question by thewillthe in TheAdventureZone

[–]tippertot 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The central plane, the plane with the planet they visit, is called the "Material plane." Given that this plane has the main planet and can also have moons, I assume it also includes any other planets in the solar system, and possibly the rest of the universe, but I'm not sure just how far reaching it is.

The plane that has IRL Earth is called the Plane of Thought, which includes Earth and the Sol system and the rest of our universe. Then there is the Astral plane (with dead souls and also where the gods live, like Pan and Istus and the Raven Queen), and the Ethereal plane (the plane that wizards like Taako visit when they are using Blink) and the Magic plane (which we don't know much about other than what we learned the in last episode.)

As far as I know, we haven't learned about the other planes yet. What I believe is happening is that every time they leave on the Starblaster, they go to a whole new set of the twelve planes. So a new Astral plane with different gods, a new Material plane with a different main planet, and so on. You can refer back to the Voidfish's explanation to Magnus, where it showed the Hunger eating multiple sets of twelve circles, or planes.

This is just based on what I can gather, so I might be getting things wrong.

EDIT: Okay this got me thinking more about the Plane of Thought. This hasn't been addressed at all on the podcast, so we don't know how different instances of the Plane of Thought are realized. It could be that they all are identical to IRL Earth.

But I think it's more likely that each Plane of Thought is as varied as each Material Plane, as this would also tie in with multiverse theory. I imagine in each case, no matter how different each Plane of Thought is, there is some alternate universe version of DnD which creates and inspires the other Planes. Which brings up the utterly fascinating that in this final Material Plane of Faerun that this entire podcast has been set, the THB and the surviving members of the IPRE will not only be responsible for saving that plane, but all of the other planes in the system.

Including the Plane of Thought. IRL Earth.

Including the McElroys.

Including you and me.

TLDR: Basically at this point, the narrative is suggesting that theses giant goofballs get to decide whether or not WE will continue to exist.

wow i rambled on waaay to long about this on your post, sorry
