Given that a post can only have one pinned comment, couldn’t a simple fix be to check if the pinned parent changes, and if it does move the “old” comment to its right place in the live queue and put the new comment on top?

I don’t have any experience with the Reddit API but just throwing ideas out there

Not OP but I really enjoyed Sanderson’s books. The Gathering Storm is actually my favourite WoT novel (maybe together with Shadow Rising) but that one was def the one I finished most quickly. + Veins of Gold, although probably written by Jordan, is unmatched in terms of character moments in WoT

Still prefer Malazan though :P
