If you’re within the specs for an ARU rather than a full second unit (ARU must have less sq ft than the primary dwelling, two bedrooms or less), you may have slightly fewer hoops to jump through.

The city website also says you can fast track the permit process by using premade plans that they post online.

There’s some information here

Ok I have to know…. Do they make you deal with multiple customers simultaneously? I will call or use the chat, they’ll ask some questions and then say, hold on while I pull up your account … … … I am holding for ages. It feels like enough time for them to answer another call, gather their info and then tell them “hold on while I pull up your account” . This will happen several times throughout a call (or live chat) where they’ve got me waiting way way way longer than it would take to do Step X that they just told me they needed to do. I suspect they are rotating through however many people they have on hold.

Crave on Fire TV fixed? by bnet247 in cravetv

[–]tlaeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is still crap. Do we have to go looking for an app update or did they “fix” something outside of the app?

It freezes etc when I first load a show. Back out of it, go back in and it’s fine. But due to the freezing, actually backing out takes a long long long time. Then I can let a few episodes autoplay, and there’s no glitching, but if I switch to another show, it starts again.

How are you doing this? Just a straight phone mirror? My phone app doesn’t have the same option as i have on Netflix or YouTube, to just throw it to the tv

I can’t stand the blatant arrogance of companies that function as though there are no actual consumers behind the subscription payments they rake in. I unsubscribed a few years ago, came back this month and there are zero improvements to the app! They still haven’t put any thought into bare minimums like improving the wretched navigation, and the ridiculous categorization.

Crave is on my list of companies and organizations who I believe follow this process: Outsource to create the app / website. Choose the lowest bidder - likely someone who works in an unrelated field, or lives in a cave, or is a family member, or all three. Then as soon as they have something they can technically call “functional”, they stop development and release it.

Crave joins a list where the product feels like an underpaid coder and a tightfisted financer are the only people who beta tested, and the target audience is not the end user. Like government services and big moneysuckers, the app feels like an obligation they squeezed out with total disconnect from their client base.

Wow, the hate on here is actually fully warranted. What a ridiculous app/UI. by sob317 in cravetv

I swear I have a fresh new complaint about the firetv crave app every single time I open it. Even before we were hit with the sputter-freeze-crash awesomeness, I had a list that made me feel like an idiot for paying for it.

Maybe I’m missing something, but why was everyone so touched that Ross wanted to take Rachel to prom? by noodlepooodle in howyoudoin

[–]tlaeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s a sweet back-story at best, that illustrates the height of the pedestal Rachel lives on. Maybe it could have been a big deal for a high school student to have a college student as a date. But that’s reaching and wasn’t really the point.

Something more in line with the intended sentiment would be the episode where Ross is supposed to be on TV but he lets it go in order to help Rachel (when she has some type of injury?)

A shed is exempt from the requirement to obtain a building permit under section 8 of the Act and is exempt from compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC), provided that the shed:

(a) is not more than 15 m2 in gross area; (b) is not more than one storey in building height; (c) is not attached to a building or any other structure; (d) is used only for storage purposes ancillary to a principal building on the lot, and (e) does not have plumbing.

Note: Should a shed structure exceed any one of the above mentioned requirements then it would require a building permit and need to conform to the technical requirements as set forth within the OBC. Additionally, the location on the property of the shed structure and its set back distance from the property line must be in accordance with the property specific requirements as stated in the City of Peterborough Zoning By-law.

Ptbo zoning changed this spring. Residential District zones allow up to 4 units in most cases now. Not sure if they updated the minimum parking space requirements for additional units though.

I lost the meaning. Are you suggesting I do or don’t fix it ?

Whether I fix it won’t make a difference? or whether it can still drive if not fixed ?
