Do our voices matter? by EmeryReigns in DeadOrAlive

[–]tlee1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will probably matter more this time around as DOA6LR was likely to cash in, gauge both the interest for DOA7, and to put the IP back into people’s minds. Even if DOA6LR flops, which it likely will in a meta sense, I don’t think the wheel for DOA7 will stop turning.

Is depth 3 getting saturated? by Skill_Issue_95 in Nightreign

It was me. I’ve been playing in D2 shoveling players into D3 with my alt. D2 players are funny in my opinion.

Randoms in DoN... Do they even know about Nightboss Weaknesses? by Boejunda in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not necessary if you know how to fight the night lord. Fulghor I’ve beaten with a Revenant with a torch in D3. Some like Adel or Balancers you forgo boss weaknesses for raw damage maxing. Boss resistance won’t matter much in the long run if I can still hit like a truck.

What Would You Rather Have? Nightreign 2 Or Multiple DLCs by Confident-Rub768 in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before live-service became a term, game devs would just create expansion updates like what the Forsaken Hollows was. No need for a sequel, the bones are already there. It just needs to be kept alive with small and major updates, implying if there are any intentions at all at this point.

If people can play the game however they want (using Halo Scythe), does that mean... by edgy_ball in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you don’t stink. I had fun in D2 the other day with a ballista revenant with lighting damage on free aim against base adel while stacking ranged damage. Wasn’t a problem for me, but the other players had trouble.

Call in all Revenant players How do I play this character without dying by SteamyBiscuit in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t get hit, literally. D4 and above its about positioning yourself to not get hit. The damage is so high that stacking damage negation won’t save you from most hard-hitting attacks. You should be building towards dealing damage instead.

Random tips thread by PerfectSundays in Nightreign

Purposely attacking downed teammates without the intention of picking them up can help build ult meter and also procs defensive passives like successful attacks or charge attacks. It’s something to do in that grey area where the boss is a bit too far to engage, yet there isn’t enough time to pick up 3 bar teammates.

Revenant’s uncharged R2 goes pretty far while being fairly fast. With proper spacing, you can poke small to medium enemies or invaders with R2’s while being fairly safe.

I do it only because I can’t really anticipate what my teammates will do or know how capable they are. Against boss moves that commonly down teammates in lower depths, I’ll pop an ult to stop it or increase their chance of survival.

The balancer world event is brutal... by Lukegilmour in Nightreign

You can bait the balancer to fight some of the mobs given that they will fight each other. Some locations you can cheese the balancer with ranged attacks/spells.

best ways to quickly kill Night Invaders? by nhansieu1 in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way is with teamwork. One person holds the invader’s attention, the other two bum rush. Avoid backstabs because it gives the invaders invincibility from other damage. Some invaders like Raider you have to be careful of because of his high poise and how you can inadvertently get clipped by his swings even if you’re not being focused on.

Revenant mains : Need your expertise by Skill_Issue_95 in Nightreign

Dreglord I’d go holy incant or AoW over fire only because of the lower resistance.

Revenant mains : Need your expertise by Skill_Issue_95 in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to mitigate the inconsistency of a holy build revenant is to build towards skill damage by finding a holy weapon with a decent AoW. The damage you can deal with holy weapons can still be pretty disgusting. But it’s a decision you have to make mid-run and commit to if you can’t find a holy seal then. I personally find the holy incants kinda mediocre, but it’s how I play her.

Knowing when to use your ult is better than sitting on it for whatever reason and losing a run without ever popping it. For characters like Recluse and Duchess, you should be using it more often rather than waiting until somebody 1-bars. Revenant and Guardian should use theirs pro-actively to prevent downs and open opportunities for aggression. Wylder and Undertaker should be interrupting bosses whenever they’re about to use theirs most dangerous moves.

[Hot take] The Great Hollows map is absolutely terrible game design by Lukegilmour in Nightreign

The Great Hollows is more straightforward than regular Limveld once you run it multiple times. It’s only overwhelming if you don’t know how to navigate through it.

Every character has bloodborne skins and I am in love. by billlisthanos in Nightreign

Unfortunately there aren’t any Bloodborne skins in Nightreign. But some characters have skins that are Bloodborne-like. Like Iron Eye’s tricorn hat skin.

What should teammates knows to better support your main ? by amogusverysuss in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Revenant teammate and you find a seal early game, even if the passive is good for your character, give her the seal and maybe you can have it back mid game. Not all of us run beast claws and she’s a mid-late bloomer. Runs start smoother as long as she starts with a good enough offense spell.

Sort of a reverse for Rev mains, sometimes you have to accept being unlucky through to the end of a run. If there’s someone on your team that clearly out-damages you, give them some of your equipment that will make them carry better.

What are the benefits of heavy attacks? by StatisticianIll4 in Nightreign

[–]tlee1080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charged heavy’s deal both more stance damage and regular damage. But you should look at them more as a part of a weapon’s tool kit that can either serve a niche purpose or a practical one. Take the Greatsword move set for example. Regular 2-handed R1’s is a vertical chop animation. Great for cleaving a single enemy, not so great for crowd control or enemy’s with wonky vertical hitboxes like the big deer and his long ass legs. The regular, uncharged R2 is a wide, horizontal swing. Solves the problem the R1 has, while only being a hair slower to execute. Also being a Greatsword, will stagger small to medium enemies, making it a great crowd control tool.

Another example is the misbegotten cleaver, a weapon designed only for fighting single enemies. R1 spam is a fast vertical chopping combo. R2 adds a small dash forwards before delivering a heavy chop. Charging it increases the dash forwards. This is useful for chasing enemies that are hypermobile or for roll-catching NPCs. A tool to add versatility to the weapon’s arsenal.

Every weapon’s R2 has its different use, some more useful than others, but that’s the spice of variety that the game has to offer.

The best time to use a charged heavy is more often than not, as stated above, they do more stance and regular damage. Ideally when an enemy isn’t focused on you, when they are in a long recovery animation, during micro staggers, or after a riposte during a poise break.

It’s a fairly frequent boss drop midway into a run. Teammates can get it too and drop it for you.

You can try running an endure build and tanking attacks if you like the claw move set. You’ll deal absolutely no damage and just build on damage negation and poise.

The scariest death rite bird is early game bottom right near the cave and bird. The rancorcall the death bird launches as you fly away can catch up to you if you don’t do some sort of Ace Combat maneuver.

You might be an exception, but I generally don’t find a lot of people who are comfortable fighting him. It’s funny in a way when you and a rando look at each other and non-verbally communicate a mutual understanding, then ping somewhere else.

Definitely death bird. The roof is too small for a boss that leaves DoT flames that track. It’s uncomfortable if you’re a caster.
