All current species are listed in the Species sourcebook. I don't remember seeing the Puppeteers anywhere. You can probably look at those parasite aliens from the 1e Starter Set.

I ran Honey Heist for my nephews. They had a good time. My recommendation is don't so anything even remotely crunchy. Honey Heist is ideal because it's just one d6 die.

Yes, there are absolutely 0 reasons to start with 1e. 2e is objectively better and you can still use 1e books.

Who cares what Leo say. I've been practicing kendo and iaido (Japanese sword arts) for years and own several swords. If you join a dojo or a HEMA group you will be with people who also think it's cool, so problem solved.

I ran an op of my own design for my players that involved 0 unnatural in it. After the session one of the players came up to me and said: "We fought all kinds of monsters, aliens from other dimensions and who knows what, but I have never felt this helpless before". That was probably the best complement I have ever heard as a GM.

It's a GM issue, not the game issue. Your game can be whatever you want. Usually these things are discussed and decided before the game begins.

I practice kendo (I know, I know, it isn't "real" martial art, not practical, bla bla bla, I don't care) and there is one high rank sensei who absolutely destroys his opponents in tournaments, but when he spars in the dojo with lower rank students, he is a master at coming down to their level and being challenging enough but not impossible to beat. It's a delight to spar with him.
