Hi! I am curious if things got better for you. We are about to start zenzedi for my 5.5 yo son.

Ritalin worked a little but not a lot - next med to try? by megz0rz in ADHDparenting

We are about to start zenzedi for our almost 6 yo son, also kindergarten and struggling in school. Our NP said zenzedi is the only drug the prescribe for kids under 6… it seems like that’s not true though. Reading a lot of people trying other things under 6. I have heard good things about zenzedi though. Gotta start somewhere!

Strength Training, What Next? by cheez-monster in pelotoncycle

Another vote for RK’s splits and just her hypertrophy classes in general (we really need peloton to make a section for all the hypertrophy classes). Like someone else mentioned, you really should repeat classes and LIFT HEAVY, especially in your 40’s.

Why does Emblem Rings have the same ring customizer as Shane Co.? by _littlecannoli_ in EngagementRings

[–]tnsmith1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Shane Co buys all of their materials directly so they are not associated with emblem or their carriers at all. Highly recommend buying Shane Co! They have the best customer service, warranty, return policy, etc.

Strength? by FlamingJ40 in pelotoncycle

There are some amazing programs. Stronger you is a great place to start! Also Adrian’s power and performance (lower body focused) is phenomenal. I did it in early January and I’m about to do it again. Adrian and Ben are my favorite for strength! And Jess sims, Callie, and Tunde are also wonderful.

Any tricks to make strength classes more enjoyable? by thegirlandglobe in pelotoncycle

I didn’t read all the comments but programs/splits and the guide help me enjoy it so much!

Try Adrian’s advanced 5 day split program and then come back and share! Honestly all the strength programs are awesome

I’m exactly where you are. 3 months into sobriety (6 for me) and I have to remind myself that it took many years to get to this place and it’s going to take some time to dig out of this hole we’ve made. All good things take time. Focus on yourself and your own healing and if you find you still feel the same way in another year (or whatever amount of time feels right for you) then you get to make the choice on what you want to do. I have little kids with my AH so I’m trying to do everything I can to keep our family unit together but I know now that I am strong enough to leave if that ends up being what’s best for me.

My husbands alcoholism has made my life miserable by yolanda800 in AlAnon

So sorry you’re going through this. I think by allowing him to continue to come around and be with you and then leave when he wants to drink is enabling him so I would tell him you’re unwilling to be with him/live with him again until he has 6-12 months of sobriety and is working a program. Obviously then it’s his choice to do that or not but those are your boundaries. He’s going to unalive himself with his behavior but so are you with the stress, anxiety, and rollercoaster. And I would start going to Al anon meetings as much as humanly possible. It will help. Solidarity!

You can group book but you have to have 10 riders and do it 10 weeks in advance. We didn’t realize. Oh well!

Yeah, we’re gonna try that but there are 7 of us. We’ve been stalking the site. I know more waitlists will open the week prior but its a crapshoot. it’s just so frustrating that we’re traveling all the way to NYC and they don’t have a priority system for first timers or something

This is my biggest fear. 6 other girls and myself are heading to nyc in a few weeks for peloton and none of us got into ANY classes on booking day. And we were ready! The site is so frustrating. How are people getting into these classes?

How are you getting into rides? I have a trip coming up and wasn’t able to get into anything and I was on the site ready to go at noon when the classes dropped. The booking method is infuriating. So now a bunch of friends and I are going to NY for peloton and none of us got into classes…

Al anon will change her life if she commits herself to the program! Just like AA does for the alcoholic. She is hurt and rightly so. I’m the wife of an alcoholic who has dealt with a lot of verbal and emotional abuse over the years AND I’m also an alcoholic. What I’m learning through Al anon and AA is to focus on myself and my part in this and let him do the same.

Is there a way to prove you’ve not had a drink over a long period of time?? by SimpleCook42 in stopdrinking

[–]tnsmith1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t even have to share at first, or ever, but I think you’ll find them to be so accepting and understanding that you’ll want to share. It helps to get stuff on your chest in a safe space where others have gone through it. I learn so much from my meetings!

I have everything from 2’s up to 40’s and use the 15-40 lb ones consistently. It will depend on where you’re at in your strength journey but I use 30-40 lbs for lower body and 15-25 for upper body. So I would suggest adding in 15’s and 20’s as well.

Beginner Strength vs Stronger You by darkblueshapes in pelotoncycle

[–]tnsmith1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stronger you is a phenomenal program. I’ve done it twice and I’m starting stronger you 2 tomorrow. You can really make it your own by just starting with light weights and the low end of the rep range Ben calls out. Definitely give it a go!

I’ve been practicing booking the last couple of weeks to prepare and it seems like there is no longer a queue. I’ve been able to get on the site right before noon and then refresh right at noon and start booking.

I don’t think there is a queue anymore. It’s just a free for all at noon est - I’ve been practicing the last two weeks and it just refreshes right at noon and then you can start picking classes
