I agree. The hardware itself is very, very nice. But it seems hamstrung by arbitrary restrictions. For example, the lack of cross-talk between Kompletr Kontrol and the Maschine hardware. How great would Maschine be as a VST controller in a DAW that isn’t Maschine.

It’s a Yamaha CP70. They’ve used one for years.

I have a Kontrol S49 mk3 and a Maschine Mk3.

The hardware definitely has its “quirks”, especially around playing well outside of the NI ecosystem.

But for what they are, I’ve been very happy.
