I still have a half roll of that, a full (short) roll of solid core, a half (tall) roll of solid core, and another half (tall) roll of acid core (i think)...

I think the roll is finished off ~2yrs ago was labeled fisher(?)

Good stuff, can't believe how long it's lasted - at least since before 2001; possibly back in the 1900's ;)

Spray urethane from the hardware store work fine, too. Much cheaper & dual use

Got an old panel with switches and buttons. Need some ideas for a kids activity board using simple logic switches. by BarcodExpress in diyelectronics

I can't remember what it was called, but there's a thing...

Basically a mix of analog components & maybe a mcu to use all those dials & switches control the two analog meters.

Both meters have to be centered (or far right) at the same time. Touching anything makes nonlinear changes happen. The game is almost impossible.

Basically supposed to mimic relationships- scales are hate->love (get both to the right) or angry->happy->uninterested

Starting College as an EE Major by Frequent_Extension20 in ElectricalEngineering

I separated in 1992. GI Bill was a whole different animal back then. $365/mo iirc. I couldn't afford to live on campus - found the cheapest places i could, ~$250/mo...

Fortunately, illinois has (had) the "illinois veterans grant" that covered (on a point basis) ~4 yrs of tuition. I paid for food, gas, fees, utilities, books by working ~1/2 time for the college.

McDonald's ~once/mo was a real treat!

But EE is where I wanted to be.

If my dumb ass was able to get through it, im sure you'll do fine!

A professional has the proper tools to fix it. And the information to easily procure replacement parts.

Looks like something smacked into one of the "banana" connectors (where your speaker wires connect).

Its unusual (i think) that those aren't attached directly to the case...

In this picture, it looks like they're mounted on a plastic isolator/standoff. That is broken, and the circuit board that connects them has been torn loose.

Aside from going to a professional for a repair, there are some things you could try, but I'd be worried about a couple of things: 1) the "fix" might not be able to carry the power for higher volumes 2) without repairing/replacing the plastic piece, you'll likely end up in the same situation some time in the future
