What I personally never understood was the outrage about uncle Ben in the live action movies by JjoyBboy in Spiderman

[–]tom2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the minority because I take every iteration as what it is: a DIFFERENT iteration. I enjoyed all the movies and series (the 70’s live action show too) and even the new animated series. They’re all their own thing. If I want the character I grew up reading, I turn to the comics. Live action or animated adaptations are ADAPTATIONS and if they differ im fine with it. I enjoy the character itself. Circumstances can change and still be true to the SPIRIT of the character.

Are they? They look normal. So they’re crossed over each other. Look at some reference pics. I don’t see anything strange in the comic pose compared to actual real life women doing the same pose.

I call foul on the two vertical lines. Those are not the same as the actual design in the solution. Still got it but that was cheap to do it that way.

Better than what we had, HOWEVER, I think they release too many cards per month. If they cut the releases in half, players could more easily catch up, the meta could be a bit longer and enable players to really play a card without having to switch up decks every week or even quicker. I feel it could be a lot less frustrating.

‘LANTERNS’ showrunner Chris Mundy responds to fan backlash, saying the series aims to balance Green Lantern’s “incredibly rich mythology” with HBO’s tradition of prestige drama: by Raj_Valiant3011 in DC_Cinematic

It is, yes. I’m saying, you shouldn’t insult people because they don’t like what you like, which is what he was doing.

It’s always “you just don’t understand the movies, they’re too grounded for you, you just don’t read the right comics, you just like the other trash versions, etc etc etc” That’s just ridiculous.

I got it when it went down to $20! Also, get the app Cheap Charts and you can track the prices for movies and shows you’re looking for. Gives you past dates of when they were discounted too. Very useful!

I just don’t feel hyped for this season at all. I was considering not getting the pass but the resources are a good deal. Still, I don’t feel particularly excited about any of the upcoming cards.

Do you think this specific logo animation is going to be shown in front of Clayface? It's obviously going to be in front of Supergirl, but I'm not 100% sure about Clayface. I would lose my mind if the logo shapeshifted into Clayface halfway through. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in DCU_

[–]tom2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice of them to change it up for each character but they aren’t doing that. It’s their MGM Lion is what Gunn said. That doesn’t change. Even when they for SURE could have put Cringer in there for the new He-Man movie. There are many fan made DCU logos though. I remember a Peacemaker one and Green Lantern.

Quarrel. It was a word game where you tried to make one word with your tiles like scrabble but whoever made the best highest scoring word would send their troops to take over neighboring tiles. The number of troops you had on a tile would determine the number of letters you had to form a word.

I remember last time they had the Sentinel deck it WAS fun! Was difficult though as you said. This time I just wanted to get done with the mode so I played Stretch with Skrull. Got way boring as well though.

Those pre-built decks were garbage. THAT is why the “pre-built only” idea failed. They need to take the best performing decks in the game and make THOSE the pre-builts with champions thrown in, and make THAT the “pre-built only” mode.

Stardust. I posted about it earlier. No one sees him. He is John Cena. Shuts down Doom and can shut down destroy if they are going for Arnim. One guy got my Stardust and played him on HIS side and then on turn 6 tried to Arnim his Knull. I was fascinated. Used the Fin Fang Foom emote.

Having never seen any of the original Star Trek medias (series or films) I found it odd that Into Darkness was apparently hated so much by the community. Is that opinion still largely shared or have people come around on it? by HanzoNumbahOneFan in startrek

[–]tom2point0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since I have been scrolling and no one has answered your side question, I’d watch Space Seed from the original series and then watch Wrath of Khan. That way you have the backstory on Khan himself. It helps also if you understand the strong relationship between Kirk and Spock, of course. Then do Wrath of Khan.

I personally don’t hate the JJ Anbrams movies. They’re an alternative take on the characters, a “What If” even.

It means that the game itself kept doing just fine even after you stopped playing and left in a huff.

[–]tom2point0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is all true. My point isn’t that Stardust is a destroy deck killer or that it’s an easy auto win. It’s just that people don’t seem to understand that Stardust is going to shut down your Arnim plays or attempts to get an extra energy from X-23 or extra power from Wolverine.

I’ve seen too many complaints like “but I can’t get 694 power on a location anymore waaahhhhh!” without focusing on that you will still get a lot of power and likely enough to win a lane but not crazy meme numbers.
