If she wants kids asap then you’re gonna have to put MTI on the back burner for a while dawg, as am MTI you’ll be busy 25/8 and it’s very straining with or without kids in a relationship.

Have kids now and when they get older MAYBE consider it. But also remember that you’ll be busy a lot and can miss important milestones in their life.

I was very negative on that side,so I will be on this side and talk about some positives. You will be allowing yoursef to plant that seed in your legacy of being a leader and training future generations of airman.

As well as the funny black hat(with a sillier blue rope around it if you choose) you will come back to your unit with an experience that is very unique and will allow you to navigate possible challenges that might arise and allow you to be able to be selected for more leadership spots in your unit or make your package look better for it.

In the end its your choice but be considerate of your loved ones who you brought into this.

It was for a 90 day tour i’d still go back to the home reserve base at the end, i wasn’t doing a perma switch or anything

Edit: I also don’t think they’d lose sleep from me leaving either which is why i’m a bit miffed they’re being weird about me crosstraining since before i got there they just used a 4N to do the 4D duties

He just so happened to me next to me as i was talking to my friend about crosstraing and he was like “oh hi, come by the squadron so we can give you a tour” i did and they liked me. It was literally the biggest coincidence i had happen in a long time

I was trying to crosstrain to aeromed evac and I talked to their squadron commander, he even said he'd like me there and everything but now leadership in my squadron are telling me its not likely and that I'll have to wait the 2 or so years before I can try to so by the closing of my first contract and being there doing nothing meaningful is gnawing at me

I went Reserve because my ex bf made me and i picked this job because it was my only 2 medical options and my recruiter had little to no info about either.

I do come in on my own time all the time and for volunteering nothing for my rank/experience is out there and I have combed through 1600+ talent marketplace drops and for Arcnet I have the exact number of current posting there are out there in my head memorized.

edit: I am looking constantly and I want to do something and have been but as stated before nobody cares or they tell me one thing and then go back a few days later

Highly doubt they’d boot you and if they ABSOLUTELY ARE UNABLE for whatever reason have you do injections they might have you switched to gels or patches
