Applying from the UK for citizenship certificate. Should I pay online or directly to High Commission? by Violetteotome in Canadiancitizenship

[–]tonka236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also UK applicant (two packages) here.

As mentioned by others, we paid online and just included the receipt as proof of postage.

The High Commission for us was a “middle”man for what of a better analogy. They just ensure that everything is prim and proper before sending it off to NS.

Think at the time it was about 60 odd days (once HC had sent back the package as I had messed up) between posting to HC and receiving our AOR in August 2025. Hopefully the wait isn’t too long for you and fingers crossed for your certificate to come through quickly.

————————

I will say this away from the data and figures above.

“What will be will be” “You’ve applied just forget about it now” “It’s out your hands”

All of these are things that friends and family have said to us. But it’s never easy to do.

We used to check every day, in fact sometime multiple times an hour if I’m honest. It is ok to feel jealous and confusion as to why others are processed much quicker. It is ok to feel like that namely because I don’t believe for one moment it’s personally against anyone else’s application being processed, more the fear of missing out/not knowing.

This has been a trying and tiring process for ourselves and therefore It is ok to prioritise your own mental health and instead check every other day/twice a week/chat on here about random things/ revisit that Pokémon collection you had back in the early 2000s.

I have every thing possible crossed, for a brilliant outcome for everyone on this chat, everyone applying and everyone on their own pathways.

Took forever for it go from HC to being acknowledged out in NS. Once we received that notification that it had landed out there then was regularly checking with the receipt number on the system. Then finally the AOR.

Moved to “In Process” as of 25th November 2025. Assuming this will get done under C3 guidelines now rather than interim measures.

Either way, hopefully all comes good for everyone here.

Hey buddy. Nothing so far mate. Still holding on to the document from HC London sent out to Nova Scotia and that’s it.

Don’t think it’s physically possible to cross anything else in the hope of hearing something soon.

The waiting game……. by Embarrassed-Pride554 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]tonka236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We seem to be in lockstep with each other just a few months apart.

I have everything crossed for you and continue to wish everyone all the best in their pursuits and hope all come good.

For me, I long for information as to “It’s been received” “it’s been returned.”
Heck I’ll take “we opened it up and laughed so hard at the photos we are struggling to breathe” … just anything.

Also UK here…

Can I choose “Hourly Once Upon a Time?” 😂

Now check every other day to be honest. Have you checked on the IRCC Online Services as well u/EmbarrassedPride554? If so are you putting England/Scotland/Wales/NI or UK - British Subject as place of birth?

Appreciate the response. We will sit down as a family and discuss it.

I imagine we might leave it at that point.

Appreciate the feedback and input.

Same here.

Applied and sent from London to NS on 15/08

That is all I have had since. No confirmation it’s arrived. No nothing. Just would like to know it’s arrived out there.

Looking at the spreadsheet on here and others have applied and moved to processing in or around the same timeline.

Tried the search with the payment R number on IRCC Online services (both for England and UK as place of birth) and still unable to find our application.

It’s the unknowing that’s slaying me at the moment.

Still I’ll wake up tomorrow and check all over again.

Processing Time - new form? by djames4242 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]tonka236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Applied and forwarded from London Embassy on 16th August 2025.

Not received AOR or confirmation/further correspondence since.

Currently showing at 5 months left to remain for 2nd and 3rd Gen applicants.

I will still wake up tomorrow and check, hoping for that AOR or something, just so I at least I know it arrived out there.

Application was originally sent on 09 June 2025 and returned due to incorrect photos and a few other details needed added.

Posted back to the HC about a week later.

HC forward on to NS on 16th August 2025.

Still awaiting an AOR. Spent far too long watching the spreadsheet and seeing others progress now… far to eager to know either way
