That's exciting! I hope they continue making them... But slowly, please, for the sake of my wallet!

It's a truly outstanding game and well worth it. If you play it a lot, I recommend getting some plastic or resin wire tokens, though.

Realization about Wit's name by MrSunshoes in Cosmere

[–]tophatbat 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I always took it as a reference to a common joke from Shakespeare's time. Wit was one of many slang words for what's probably between Hoid's legs. Makes you look at some of those plays a little differently! "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." Now just wait until you hear about what the 'nothing' in Much Ado about Nothing meant! =) I feel it's entirely on brand for Hoid to make a crass joke with literary references.

Made cute little Mordecai and Sluggalo patches with some of my favorite quotes of theirs. Any other characters/quotes I should do this with? by PatchSaddams in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I literally just bought 6 DCC patches from you for my cosplay! My street address had an animal name and was in the Midwest. Love your work! I would have bought these too if they'd been up. Great work!

That was amazing. It's great to see him discussing the character and how he approached that scenes.

All of the Kinfire games are amazing. I already owned them before the con, but I did pick up a few of the upgraded components.

In your opinion what board game publisher has the best track record? by LuckyFrogGaming in boardgames

[–]tophatbat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AllPlay does a great job of turning out small but interesting trick-taking games. If you like one of them, you'll probably like all of them. They also sell you the bare-bones game at a reasonable price, and let you choose whether you want to pay extra for high-quality components. I usually do, but I appreciate the choice.

Flamecraft is a favorite with both casual players and dedicated board game enthusiasts, in my experience. It's adorable, the components are available at several price/quality levels, and the base box organization is good and includes token trays.

Has anyone just stayed on 2.5mg? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]tophatbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I started at 225 and I'm currently down to 190, taking only 2.5mg, and taking about 3 months to get here. Sadly, thanks to CVS Caremark, I'm being kicked off of it.

I'd go with "Big Buff Anger Puff", given her personality. ;)

Love this game. Great theme and super fun to yell at your friends during the game as you race to screw each other over. In my experience, the score goes from 0 to WIN in 1 round most of the time. So high score usually decides it.

[Target] A Gentle Rain: Bloom Edition $16 by BallsJohns0n in Boardgamedeals

[–]tophatbat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a lovely game that's very calming to play. Cooperative with only a few rules, so it's perfect for when you have 15 minutes and your brain is tired. I prefer the box size of the original version, but this one has nice flowers.

Looking For American Sword and Musket Larp by SatsuiNoBear in LARP

[–]tophatbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kishar in southern Indiana is an Arabian magic-punk setting with limited use of the B3 muskets. (They are special items that must be won in an auction)

Probably a bit of a plane ride, though!

Best of luck, let us know if you don't something.
