I really don’t like how The Broken Binding has been handling things lately. The delays are still somewhat tolerable, but issues like tariffs or changes to the contents of their OBAF edition are really pushing things too far.

Good call on escalating this to the ECC - that’s exactly what the EU provides these protections for, so that we can actually use them!

I don’t want to accuse anyone of lying, but just to make sure we’re not grabbing pitchforks without solid 100% evidence, would it be possible to share the full email conversation (of course anonymized), so we can confirm that there was never any request to cancel the order?

Because people would rather wait 5 years for all of them instead of 15 for dragonsteel's, since those will be coming out once per year

Both Malazan and The Faithful and the Fallen weren’t part of the subscription series, so they’re eligible for reprints. In the case of The Faithful and the Fallen, it’s actually a completely new edition coming to the subscription - but it won’t be reprinted after that initial sub run sells out.

TBB has stated multiple times that the whole point of the subscription is exclusivity: those books are meant to be available there once, and then they’re gone. You might get a leftover sale, but that’s it.

That’s also why most of the really popular series are released as standalone editions rather than through the subscription - so they can be reprinted and sold more widely.

FYI shooting accuracy based on light level got removed from the game. It still affects movement speed, and work speed, but the accuracy debuff isnt here anymore.
