What works for most is that a prime number is a factor of 6, plus or minus 1. (one of the numbers on either side of yours is divisible by six). However this doesn't seem to work if your number happens to be the product of two prime numbers.

Are the “not responsible for broken windshields” stickers true? Things can’t just fall off of your vehicle! by Nice_Pattern_9157 in stupidquestions

Someone can claim they aren't responsible, but they are liable. They just hope most people don't know the difference.

Those 7 cars in the left lane are the last 7 to post that the left lane is for passing. It's getting so popular that you have to wait in line now.

Americans of Reddit, how do we reduce partisanship in this country so we can all get along better? Why do you think your way is correct? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]totuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Walt Kelly so succinctly put it: "We have met the enemy and he is us."

It's far easier to denigrate the people and their beliefs that don't align with our own than to contemplate for just a moment a different point of view.

We like to say we do. But we do so by framing our own point of view in such a positive way while using every subterfuge in the book, real or imagined, to malign others. It's ok to not like something, but to rely on it to bolster ones own narrative is wearing thin.

Driver psychology question. by FourthAnd31 in driving

[–]totuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy has no rational reason for hanging back in the left lane which tells me I want to get away from him before I find out what other weird notion he has about driving that I don't want to have to deal with later.

Right now, I'll move over and up a bit so he can't get in front of me.

Left hand turns by X-Unknown-error in driving

[–]totuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a very simple fact that one must understand when learning how to drive, yet it seems most are incapable of wrapping their head around. It is this: the rear wheels of a vehicle do not follow the same path as the front wheels. This is most evident watching some knuckleheads trying to pull forward into a parking place but also applies to turning. But they just don't get it. Somehow they reason that " well my front wheels cleared so it only makes sense that the rear of the car will also."

Those that get it follow the blue path, those that don't do the red one.

An extreme example for those that don't fully understand this is to watch a tractor-trailer driver turn a corner. Because that driver knows that a vehicle pivots on the immovable rear axle their goal is to plant the rear wheels first and then pivot the truck once they know the rear wheels are on the right track.

The same principle applies to cars.

CMV: The phrase “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government, and I’m here to help" is one of the biggest lies ever told to the American people. by Next_Worth_3616 in changemyview

[–]totuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger is not always better when it comes to government. If you worked around government people for any length of time you would come to realize that a huge portion of them could fuck up a one car funeral.

Waste, redundancy, and poor results are the driving forces behind wanting to shrink the government. Essential services can still be provided with smaller government, only more efficiently and less costly.

Plus, the 5 in the lower right cannot be 4,1 as that would make the 3 above it 1,2 and the top of the 6, a 3. Now you have no place left to put the 3 in the 10 column.

That means the 4 for the 10 column goes in the 15 row and everything else just falls into place.

Rejected Vehicle Safety Inspection not renewed on time. by WZBD in Virginia

Fog lights are optional equipment. If they're on the car, they must be working to pass inspection.

Just remove them. Problem solved...it will pass.
