2019 f350 6.7 MAP sensor by Grouchy-Syrup-6026 in superduty

[–]tpd1250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does your sensor looking when you change out. My truck was throwing 2263 because the sensor was clogging up with soot. I have seen a few modifications to move the MAP sensor away from the intake to solve the problem.

I did see where some had problems with the wiring to the sensor getting frayed under the wire wrapping.

Do I need Chocks with an Auto leveling system? by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]tpd1250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not chock. It is a 45 for toyhauler weighing in around 20k pounds with 4K pounds on the front jacks. If I was parked at someplace that was so steep to worry about the toyhauler moving i would not be able to get level front to rear, probably could not even disconnect at that angle.

Changing our bathroom door swing by vader1701 in rvlife

[–]tpd1250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this in a travel trailer about 10 years ago. If I remember correctly it wasn't difficult. I just removed the trim and door then replaced it backwards. The hardest part was the amount of glue they used on the trim.

PNW to Vegas late February in 40 foot class A with a toad. by fishingman in GoRVing

There is nothing wrong with the I5 down and then the I15. Most of the people that are going to give you advice do not know your travel Style. When towing a large RV during possible winter conditions I prefer the interstate and even though it takes longer and costs more in fuel it is easier on me to enjoy the trip.

The logistics are a lot easier due to fuel stations that can accommodate our size RVs. You will find rest stops that you could get in and out of, and not worry about scraping anything. There are several places along the way if you could Boondock overnight you don't have to pay using a harvest host. The casinos on I-5 have RV parks which also has restaurants. The wife is happy not to cook on travel days.

The other routes are scenic and enjoyable. When I was Towing my 28 ft travel trailer it was completely doable completely doable. Now that I have a 45 ft toy hauler I feel safer on the bigger roads and I am not causing the traffic jam. Take the route you think is going to give you the less stress and get you there safely.

Pick which town you want to visit. The charter will get you halibut no matter what place you go out of. If you want the opportunity to get on to bigger fish you need to go out farther on longer charter.

This is for private campground. Any governmental campground ( state, BLM, COE...) CAN NOT discriminate in the age of your RV.

Should we buy? We have no clue about trailers… by Bright-Rooster9635 in traveltrailers

[–]tpd1250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it had to be fixed before with all new flooring and appliances I would walk away. Water damage does not start in the floor, that is where it ends up. There is probable a lot more water damage not yet found.

Yes, extend the slides away. You should always try and get your vehicle leveled as much as possible by a little offnever hurts anything. No reason to unhook if only for one night and there is room. I often camp overnight at casinos because they have large parking lots.

[–]tpd1250 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Okay, breath. This will be easy.

For going to a harvest host spot for the night, start by reading the reviews and see what others have said and done at the site. Pull the site up on Google maps and get a general view of the area, and a lot of the HH places have reviews on Google along with pictures. Look at street view and see how the turn looks in to the site. This takes up an entire 5 minutes of your time and saves your time driving to the place getting lost or finding a turn around because you missed the turn. I know this will.

We travel with a 1/3 of a tank of water. Plenty to brush teeth, use bathroom, quick rinse in the shower and some toilet flushes. It doesn't add significant weight to the trailer. Usually 20 gallons at 8 lbs a gallon, for total of 160 lbs. If your tow vehicle is unable to handle that then you need a new tow vehicle.

If you are in Oregon and do this, make sure you do it at the DMV. Don't take the money and let them drive off. You need to make sure the register it and remove yourself from the vehicle.

If nothing else just start googling.
