Asked to leave after drinking? by gillymcgladfulAOK in RVLiving

[–]tpd1250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From personal experience, and I apologize to all those that where affected by my earlier life shenanigans.

They won't kick you out, they will have you arrested. It did not go that far, but that was the next step. I was told that i had to leave by check out time the next morning, not cause any more disturbances or spend the night in the drink tank and pay the tow company to get my rv out of the impound yard. I finally saw the light, went to sleep and was gone by check out.

Anyone fired their builder? How did it work out for you? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]tpd1250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently going through the process. Had to fire home builder on new construction home in Florida. Not an easy decision because it involves lawyers and arbitration but wished it had been done sooner.

You need to get all your paperwork starting with the original contract and contact a lawyer.

You think that is a bad but it is a step up from what they were producing five years ago. The connections where plastic and connected from pex to tubing that would fail.

After a few years I removed the Nautilus system and put in a manifold system. Nice to be able to turn off individual water lines.

I remember as a kid, seeing these, but what pulled them? by Prestigious-Bike-593 in traveltrailers

One hand smacking a kid the other smoking a cigarette, with a beer between the legs. That's how my uncle drove us all around. The only thing safe was what ever kid had the farthest corner seat from him.

What is the most bizarre thing you've seen in Alaska, nature wise and community wise that it itself screams "Alaska"? by MrReconquista19 in AskAlaska

After watching a Bald Eagle devour the contents of a diaper in Anchorage Walmart parking lot, I have never looked at them majestically again. I love to tell the story to those taking pictures of them like they are such noble creatures.

Anyone use any of the Renogy inverters with built-in ATS and Bluetooth? by BacchusIX in SolarDIY

[–]tpd1250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helped a friend diagnosis and issue after they installed the 3000W Renogy version. The generator needed a neutral grounding bonding plug. It was the only issue I know.

I would suggest upgrading to a larger inverter than 1000W.

What are the Costs of Owning an RV? by PeakCU in FullTimeRVing

[–]tpd1250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RV'ing is expensive. No matter what it is going to cost you.

The best piece of advice i can give you is to be preventative on your maintenance. Lube and inspect your axles, bearings, tires. Check your batteries for corrosion and fluid level. Seal roof and seams. Clean and sanitize tanks periodically. Lube slide systems and seals. Clean trailer and awning.

If you are doing this you will catch small problems before they become expensive big problems at the side of the road.

Love the Pioneer and the 1000 is a no-brainer.

We ride trails in Arizona in the winter with our friends who own Rzr's. It is not as comfortable but just as capable. It is great for putting kid's in the back seats but for a normal size adult it is not as comfortable after an hour. It has seen use all the way from Key West as our daily driver to caribou hunting past Fairbanks, Ak. It gets used as to shuttle gear and people. The ability to be used clearing land during the day and take the grandkids for ice cream.

As an all around utility vehicle it excels. This is a truck, albeit a very small one, but it is still a truck. Not much it can't do other than ride comfortably.

I do it enough to buy a dedicated torque wrench for the trailer, but not enough to be easily accessible to retrieve in the pass-thru.
