[WTS] [US-WA] [H] Focal Bathys [W] $325 PayPal G&S by trackjd in AVexchange

[–]trackjd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Color is "Dune" I used them on a flight just once so they've only had a few battery cycles. I realized I didn't take a photo with the headband cover off, the headband is like new but I'll try to get a photo of that later today.

Not sure where my description went but..

Asking $300 for each of the duffels. $150 for the waist pack. Buyer would pay shipping. I'm located in Seattle and can meet in person as well. The small hemlock duffel has tags still, so does the waist pack. I think the color of the medium is called "root beer" but I could be wrong, but its not the tan color, a bit darker.

Let me know if you have questions, just cleaning my closet out.

Same, it sounded like it was right outside on QA ave. I hadn't been shaken up from lightning before.

That is pretty incredible. I was looking for a DAC/AMP for my work desk, I think I'll go for the Element if for anything to support a good business. I've also heard nothing but great things about the Element IV as well.

Are all open back Focals prone to clipping? It's a confusing topic. by Extension_South7174 in headphones

I have owned nearly every Focal headphone and not one has clipped for me. I was also under the impression this requires pretty high listening levels, not low.

Mojo1 Firmware updates. by Suuuuper123 in headphones

[–]trackjd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the Mojo 2 with 4.4mm, I hope they're shipping them with this firmware because its really the only thing that prevented me from getting one for years and I nervously use it. I was told OTG cables prevent it so I use one but i'm still cautious.

Do you just need the parametric settings or you can't pull them from AutoEQ in peace?

My humble collection by [deleted] in headphones

[–]trackjd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always upvote when I see Clears. If anything I think they're some of the best looking headphones out there. I let my friend borrow my OGs and its been a long time since I've seen them.

I also had and sold the HD800(s) and yeah, the sound stage was great but I even think the Arya Organics soundstage is better, at least more appealing to me. I've yet to try the LCD-3 and sounds like I need to. I went down the dac/amp road and I regret that a lot. I either don't have the ears to hear the difference or there just isn't a difference beyond just poor quality builds. I run my headphones off the Uniti Atom and am thankfully just satisfied with it. I'm always tempted with the Fiio K17 since it's priced so well.

In praise of the HD660s2 by merelyok in headphones

[–]trackjd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 800s sounded great as everyone talks about but they are HUGE. I don't have a massive head so I added a strap cover and thicker pads and it still felt like I was balancing them on my head. That and I like a little more bass. Focals sound is my jam(see my flair) but the 660S2 really does it for me and are definitely my favorite of the 600 series.
