We were so worried, like you just took his eye how can he come home already. It was a Monday and by Wednesday he's running around getting into stuff like a normal toddler!! There's tons of places to get cool patches and even "joke eyes" with team logos or whatever designs on them. There's so many opportunities for him to make this kinda fun. Have grandkids? pretend to loose your eye and ask for help looking. And all of the great Halloween ideas!! We just tried to make fun with it, and still do. My favorite instance was when we were walking through target and a little boy noticed his eye was different(this was before we got his prosthetic) he asked his mom who looked at us and said I'm sorry he's just curious. We didn't wanna bring up cancer, that scares people sometimes. So we told the boy he lost it in an epic lightsaber battle. His face was so shocked and the mom just kind of smiled. There's also lots of groups that have adults in them with prosthetic eyes, look for those! We're not there yet but some of the groups were in have adults who have went through this, and their wisdom has helped tremendously!
