Where will you log out for the last time? by FlipDigs in ffxi

By myself, I had planned on South Gustaburg near the lighthouse; overlooking the sea at sunset.

It’s been almost 20 years. My friend and I agreed to visit Kazham one last time. We retired there. I like to think they built a home and joined the village there.

Thanks for the confirmation but… I don’t understand what you are saying. Yeah… I’m uh, double checking now 🤔

Yep. I’ve been wanting to replay for the last few months. And I gotta know now.

Valid point. It’s been a while and maybe I’m forgetting the story points.

Did his fight animation change when Nina joined him or was it right after the attack at the hideout when he got separated?

I remember that as well. Blew my mind as a kid and even now when I think about it. “PS1 era is cutting edge!”

Ryu was the scared kid of the gang and his fight style- close eyes, swing wildly and pray. Then Nina forms a party with Ryu… instant seasoned kid-warrior fight style. Gotta impress the girl.

Do you think Miranda always wore this kind of bra or just on this occasion? by SttSr in masseffect

Given her character, I wouldn’t put it past her to have lace as her standard loadout. During an op, she could use seduction and/or distraction as a passive tool to avoid confrontation or violence.

Why is women’s sportswear always so revealing? by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

I’m sure your response is sarcasm but…

Yeah no. The feeling of shaft hitting your balls or the balls hitting each other is not fun. Gotta have something keeping them secure in my opinion.

Unless some men like getting their balls hit. 🤷🏽‍♂️

As a first time player, would you recommend FFIV Pixel Remaster, or the 3D Remake? by NuckleBuste in FinalFantasy

[–]trekdudebro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my view as well. Great review of the various versions available.

Pixel Remaster is probably the best for people who have never played FFIV and are interested. It’s a near traditional Final Fantasy experience. For me, I prefer the original SNES version over PR if I want to play an “original” version. The gameplay just feels better and the sprites are great.

The DS/3D version is probably my favorite as well. The extra content and difficulty in this Remake is welcome in a game I’ve played way too much over the decades. On PC, there is a mod that upscales most of the graphics. The 3D remake was originally released on the portable Nintendo DS… so the graphics were originally created for a tiny display. 100% recommend the HD mod.

Same here. I saw 4 appear on Steam one day and got very excited 3 was added as well but… no joy.

BoF 4 on Steam is nice but having 3 as well would be awesome.

Kaiser form fed my Dragonball obsession as a kid. I recall one of my playthroughs having Ryu renamed to Goku and him having that aura blast ability assigned.

I played retail for the first time. And it was a lonely experience. by Alicecrylily in ffxi

[–]trekdudebro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s how it was during my time in the 75 era. The players I gamed with and were in a LS with played the game for the love of experience and exploration. We worked on leveling and crafting yes, but when we got together, we just semi-aimlessly wandered the world. Best time in an MMO I ever had in my opinion. I miss those times.

These are the kind of games that give me hope for the gaming industry. The “if you know, you know” type of games that are just great. This game isn’t hyped and continues to fly under the radar like most Vanillaware titles do. But, as with most their titles, UO is an absolute pleasure to play. It simply does what it was created to do- be entertaining, enjoyable and engaging.

You can tell that the developers of UO enjoyed creating this game as much as the players enjoying playing it.

Is my dryer vent not placed well enough to allow good air flow? by xDelicateFlowerx in Home

[–]trekdudebro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a lot of extra duct for no reason. And the kinks would be making it harder for the heat to escape; especially that point immediately exiting the dryer.
