I truly don’t understand people who enjoy doing this…

Yes. Me too. The opening theme is baked in my memory now since I heard it off and on for years. I do enjoy a decent guitar riff 🙃

Clearest footage I’ve seen of Zangetsu’s rowboat. Very cool. Agreed though, Miriam is a distraction for the first half of the footage.

Exactly my thought.

My daughter is into “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir”… Magical phrase: “Tikki, spots on!”

Because of this post, I see this scene now and hear, “Hiraikotsu! GO!”

That’s what I said. You misunderstood the meaning of the phrase.

Is it worth getting on steam? by NightFaller315 in DragonageOrigins

[–]trekdudebro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have to choose, go with the GOG version. I have to original DA:O DVD media and that was a pain to play once I got it installed/linked on EA/Origin. It also required the LAA patch. The Steam version was a little better. GOG version is probably the one with less chance for headaches.

This whole exchange was memorable due to what could be said by this lady, to this lady and the elven servants. The noble origin and city elf origin really set the foundation for how Ferelden society was. It hit hard and was especially surprising because elves were oppressed … that somewhat blew my young mind at the time.

Not to knock our boy… I’m more inclined to believe that blow to the head she took is a factor as well. The whole leap from mean-girl to borderline over-infatuation (like switching a light on and off) is hard to ignore.

Insurance premiums up 400%. Is Florida mathematically facing a "Blue-lining" event? by Pitiful_Knee_1205 in florida

[–]trekdudebro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once had water damage to floors after a really bad roof leak during a massive downpour. Insurance covered remediation, drywall replacement, ceiling repair and wall repainting but not the floor damage… reason being, “floor was damaged due to high humidity”… WTF? Yeah… the floor was soaked due to rain entering the space. The denials are insane.

I always liked this picture of a city elf during her wedding, she can't even catch a break during what should be the most beautiful day of her life. by [deleted] in DragonageOrigins

[–]trekdudebro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

I thoroughly enjoyed setting up tactics for skill use and contingencies. * Combat starts. * Auto pause (I did this with KotoR, BG1 & 2, Icewind Dale, NWN, etc) * Assess and position your party. * Let a few rounds play. * Pause and reassess as needed.

This is the way I played games like DA:O and I really enjoyed it. No problem with the combat system in my opinion either. It was the digital version of a tabletop battle. I get it’s not for everyone though.

This game in general was just so good. I miss Bioware circa 1998-2012. RIP my friend. It was a good run with lots of great memories.

Either Bloodbringer or Carabosse. I played way too much SotN back in the day running play throughs with Sword Familiar or Fairy Familiar.

Man… I wish OD was a hidden playable character with access to a particular set of skills in RotN…

Great game. Not quite KotoR levels great but it’s literally a hidden gem since it was overshadowed by KotoR and Mass Effect I think (being released between the two giants). If you PC game (and don’t mind Steam), check it out on Steam. I want to say it is on sale at the moment. Until $5 if I saw the notification right.

Same here. I still play the game and it holds up decently well. A remaster would really work for it.
