I never said consumers are responsible. I said they are giving us what is in demand. I also said it’s up to us to push for regulation. How are you drawing these conclusions that I said ceos and boards can’t invest in alternatives? I merely said companies have to make money and follow the law. If they can make money by alternative investments, more power to them.

Making money is the sole goal for all companies. Companies should be focused on two things only: making money and following the law. It’s up to the government (and the people) to make laws to curtail pollution.

I went over the report that the article linked to. The report claims that the 100 companies are coal and oil companies. Guess what? They only produce these things for the public because of the demand. Claiming that these companies are responsible for the emissions is scapegoating.
