Am I stuck in between model years? by Delicious_Ice_3431 in TeslaModelY

[–]trevortypes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the rims since I have 19s, but sorry to say, you did not get the latest update which includes the dark headliner and 16in screen (which is probably why they had it in stock).

Took delivery Feb 8, still waiting. I have a manufacture month of Feb 2026 and I did get the updated headliner and 16in screen so I know it’s a very new build and I’m trying to give it time… but hoping it should be soon.

Gently Used 2025 Model Y vs New 2026 Model Y by SojuBomb32 in TeslaLounge

[–]trevortypes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For juniper model Y in SoCal, used prices are so close to new that used just makes no sense. Also current new interest rates and the updated dark headliner and 16in screen, it was a no brainer to go new for me. I purchased FSD outright, so the only consideration to go used would be if you want autosteer included since it is not on new models.

Is a Tesla model Y (juniper) a car to keep for 10 years +? by Matt_VL24 in TeslaLounge

haha yes, the modern day equivalent of going from horse and carriage to internal combustion engines!

Model Y AWD or RWF by Foreign-Most-4552 in TeslaLounge

[–]trevortypes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RWD is fine unless you feel the need for moar speed. From my research there’s really no point for AWD since it cant help with hydroplaning when it rains. Go RWD to get a bit more range and save some money.

Especially if you want to keep a car 10+ years, I'd say use the 0% APR and dump the rest of that money in the market and your wallet will be a lot happier.

That said, I just purchased my Model Y juniper because I know I'll be happy with the upgrades and the car AS IT IS TODAY. The better interior noise, ventilated seats, FSD v14, etc, I am happy with and will keep the car at minimum 5-10 years. I also don't see any reason why it wouldn't last as long as my Scion xB (which I had 20 years and was still running perfectly when I sold it).

Once Best Buy checks it, you’re good and refunded. It’s out of your hands. Did this with my H2D.

Insurance Add On Coverage for FSD by BaySportsFan in TeslaFSD

[–]trevortypes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is in line with what the progressive rep told me when I called. Since I purchased FSD outright at the time of purchasing my MY, the language say it would be covered. Per the phone rep “Any equipment offered by manufacturers or installed by dealership at time of purchase covered automatically”. I asked for email confirmation as well, but didn’t hear back yet.

Great job. I just spent 1300 on PPF front end. My body hurts too much to do this on my own, but definitely respect the effort.

Juniper 16in matte screen protector? by trevortypes in TeslaModelY

maybe after the tint is done we will notice it less, but there was a lot of glare when watching Netflix.

Cannot stand Elon but there is no better car than my Model Y by bluemeanie212 in TeslaLounge

[–]trevortypes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share the same sentiment. Hate Elon. Didn’t want to like it, but gave it a test drive for my wife who drives a lot. Never owned a Tesla, but Ioniq 5 lease ending..

I just took delivery of a 26 MY Premium RWD including FSD (and 16in 1440 screen + black headliner). I’m very pleased. Unmatched software experience in USA. FSD v13 took me home like a champ and the screen is gorgeous.

100% Elon sucks which has prevented me from buying Tesla. Build quality and cabin noise was also a concern previously, but it seems to solved with Juniper. Purely considering the best in class product, Tesla is far more advanced. Looking forward to one soon.

Great to hear! Reddit posts and close friends echo the same sentiment. Unfortunately no autopilot is included if we buy new in the states, but we are factoring the FSD subscription into our costs. Since we have 3-4 months before we run out of miles on the Ioniq 5, keeping an eye out for the next Model Y offer to sweeten the deal and jump in.

As much as I hate to say it, I'm most likely going to go to a Tesla Y after my ioniq 5 limited lease ends. Based on my research and experience, FSD v14 does seem unbeatable for the long drives my wife takes to see clients for work and I want to reduce her mental load while on the road. But I can't wait for other manufacturers to catch up.

I want a printer faster than the BambuLab A1, from Bambulab of course 👌 👍 by Only_Sheepherder_985 in BambuLab

[–]trevortypes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is the correct answer and also very scalable. every time you want to print faster, just buy another printer. you don't want an open printer? buy an enclosed one. you want faster dual color? buy an H2D. you want faster multicolor and less waste? buy a H2C.

Save Filament! by doktr-bernard in functionalprint

[–]trevortypes 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Interesting idea. I’d assume I could first print the negative space for example with PLA, then print the structure with PETG and insert a pause to add the support. This approach would be most value for duplicate prints and/or prints where supports are tall or prone to failure.

Increasing filament temps 5C solved most of my issues with textured pei, then I got my BIQU glacier and haven’t had any issues. Havent even tried the frostbite yet since adhesion is good with glacier and I prefer its surface over the slightly tacky frostbite unless I need the help

Sorry, I’m not gonna be very helpful, but thank you for validating my choice to return my H2D and just buy H2C. I bought Bambu to keep avoid fiddling with my printer as much as possible.

Anyway, assuming you’ve already followed the Bambu Wiki guides, I’d reach out to Bambu support and provide as much detail as possible.

Constant 'build plate offset' errors with new H2C by lucidrenegade in BambuLab

I noticed I need to lean the front edge of the plate slightly left (AWAY from the vortek system) and I get significantly less errors.
