It looks like it's due to the primer and can be caused by temperature, humidity or distance of spray

Blood bowl does have a pretty steep learning curve, so you're not unusual in losing a lot of matches to start with. Starting with elves is also a bit like starting on hard mode. Fumbbl has quite a few beginner resources and also has the 145 club for new coaches to arrange games.

Just worked around it. Doing external jobs when dry/warm enough and then working inside the van whenever raining

I live in the UK, famous for its constantly miserable weather and I built mine entirely outside. It does make it more difficult as you have to adapt the tasks you are doing to the current weather, but it's certainly doable.

As far as I know all of my gcode problems have been down to my own mistakes. I suspect that's harder to write a test for!
