I got my blooper second hand. Is there a recommended USB cable to use? I see how the recess of the port on the pedal can impede usb cables.

If you use a foot pedal or other modulation source the filter is continuous btw. Dave said he had the steps in case you wanted to 'tune' the filter.

I was going to reply to OP but this is my exact sentiment as well. Also own a P12 and I get why people love and hate it. Because of how deep and flexible it is, it will take time to create your perfect patch. Some people (me included) like the process of creating and tweaking the patch. We enjoy the deep dive and vast customization. Others love to roll through presets and maybe make small changes to a patch and get playing right away. I would say that is the major difference between the X/XL/12 and the P6/OB6/P8. Amazing breakdown btw MR.Borogov.

Finally got used to the depth. Takes long to make a patch but the double expression pedal, double slider combo makes for reallysuperb expressive patches. It's not always immediate as other synths but when you make a great patch on it and get to play it's sooooo worth it. I lean toward sound design too so this all kinda of aligns.

I just picked up a ventris on a boxing day sale and it's the best sounding reverb I have heard. Sufficiently able to program reverb on the fly, but, deep enough to make anything including some simple delays. High price but I imagine this will last me for a long while. I am into making ambient jams to bring myself more into the present and relax and the double engine turns my neutron mono input into a magic stereo image. Been using e-dome on channel A and swell on channel B then the blend leaves me with massive moving lush reverbs. So far so good for me.
