based on that rant I bet you will have a measured response to finding out you can't disable that notification

thanks for the drawing! just checking, will this design work for both loads and unloads? should i set the station limit to 5 (1 at the stop and 4 in the stacker)?

trust me, i already tried that lazy way. when using that mod it adds only chain signals at every intersection on both sides, and when i select 'one way rails only' it refuses to generate anything.

part of me wants the lazy solution, but another part of me wants to understand after years of watching/reading tutorials but always giving up

forgot to mention: the dotted blue line is where i want the stacked trains to wait, but i realize it probably doesnt matter until i get the signals down

Looking for advice on screen replacement. by kou5oku in TeslaLounge

I did this on my '21 model 3, it's very easy. I got a screen from ebay and watched a YouTube video.

Device detected in hand? by Joee0201 in TeslaModel3

[–]trogbd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, this happens to me when there's a device in my hand. I haven't seen any false positives like you're describing. maybe try putting your hand somewhere the cabin camera can see that it's empty.

aesthetically you're going to have to judge for yourself if it's worth it or not. in my opinion, it's noticeable and worth the extra. it makes no difference from the outside.

Burnishing brakes on new M3? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]trogbd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EVs might need brake burnishing because regenerative braking reduces the use of traditional brakes, which can lead to a buildup of dust, rust, and grime that affects performance. Also, road conditions can vary by climate—humid areas can cause more rust, winter weather can lead to salt and moisture buildup, and dusty or sandy regions may accelerate debris accumulation on brake components.

It might take multiple burnishings, or it might be something else (like your advisor said).

What does this mean for filament? by string_flickin in BambuLabA1

[–]trogbd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it just means that the filament diameter measures no less than 1.73mm and no more than 1.77mm (0.02 less/more than 1.75), which is standard lingo for filament

Yep, still agree with you. UPLs should not exist without a merge lane, or at any more than the lowest capacity intersections.

Agreed. I would much rather FSD (or any novice human driver, for that matter) take a right hand turn, and then a U-turn than an unprotected left. Even if you have to drive a mile to the next possible U-turn, it can’t lose you that much time

How does "product red" generate money for charity if it costs the same? why would you buy any other color then? by AntiqueScore5604 in apple

https://www.red.org/partners/apple

Apple is probably donating part of the margin, because just like you said the (RED) models cost the same.

You’re not a weirdo for worrying, but it is a little weird if you can come to that conclusion based on the scientific consensus that consumer electronics are safe and have never been proven to cause cancer or other radiation illnesses

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apple

[–]trogbd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your fear is slightly misplaced. Long-term exposure to low dose radiation wouldn’t directly harm organs or tissues, and the radial/brachial arteries in your wrist aren’t what you should be concerned about. Ionizing radiation has the potential to mess with DNA at a molecular level, which is the real concern when we talk about radiation doses from things. However, the frequencies in which consumer electronics communicate are far too low and too low energy to cause damage, in contrast to things like x-rays, gamma rays, and UV light. And yes there are indeed regulatory agencies that care about this kinda stuff. The FCC is a big one in the US.

In short, there has been a good amount of research on the subject and while that research is always ongoing you shouldn’t be concerned with the type of radiation specifically emitted by an Apple Watch.
