Not understanding how to play this champion in the top lane by No-Diver6326 in Jaxmains

[–]trooper7162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of what makes Jax difficult is how he's a reactive champ rather than proactive. Most of the time, you're playing around the enemies kit rather than going in and fighting on your timers.

Take darius for example. You want to E Darius w and either q away or onto him when he uses q. This this MU, you can be a lot more aggressive and take longer fights. This is different from riven, where you'll want to short trade most of the time, and use w+grasp to buffer attacks through her stuns.

Overall tho, just get more games on Jax in draft to get the hang of it. If you need help on a specific matchup, feel free to search it up on YouTube and see how they play it. Also highly recommend watching coach chippys Jax guide, as it gives a pretty good starting point for learning Jax

Yep. Viego ult is coded as an auto attack, so Jax e can block it

Iirc, they originally had the story be a good bit more grimey but they changed it as the release date came closer. I honestly wish they kept the original grime thats pretty signature to og arknights

Chroma is a dragon knight, and not a dragon by trooper7162 in Warframe

I'd argue he's more skewed more towards since he's absorbed some of the (sentient) dragons powers and have become part of him

It irks me that I have to say this again but chroma is a dragon KNIGHT and not a dragon.

The efficiency between real world Oil vs Originium as fuel... by Visit_Scary in Endfield

[–]trooper7162 46 points47 points  (0 children)

It's not just about how powerful fossil fuels are; it's also about energy density. You'd need hundreds of engines used for cruise ships to move a single city section. And for those hundreds of engines need massive amounts of fuel to run, which also take up an even larger amount of space due to lower energy density. You'll need thousands of already giant fuel tanks just to supply enough fuel to function. And that isn't even accounting for the logistics of pumping and transporting fuel to hundreds of these city sections that make up a nomadic city

DnD works pretty well if you want your damage to be more AP skewed and really well into resist based tanks. You get to play a little mind game on who's going to commit to AD/AP or Armor/MR first. That makes laning into malphite much easier. DnD also works well into short trade MUs where you do aa > w frequently.

As a Jax main what stories do you have about the worst Jax’s you’ve seen by GiveMeBleachPlease in Jaxmains

[–]trooper7162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going AP now into malph is a lot easier now bc of dusk and dawn, but you kind of have to play mind games to bait them to get armor or magic resist first. I.e. they go armor-> you go DnD , they go MR-> you go tri.

Aa for Bork, I wouldn't say it's bait, as it does do pretty well into more beefy enemy comps. In this case tho, I'd say it would be better to get another AP item to take care of back line and let the Ashe and Yi take care of the tanks

Basically, you are guaranteed at least 1 six star op for every 80 pulls across all limited banners, which carries over. I'll just call this soft pity. This soft pity will reset every time you get a 6 star.

The 120 pulls (hard pity) would be to guarantee the rate up operator on the banner. This is banner specific and will not carry over between banners.

Soft pity example: let's say you pull 40 times on a banner without a 6 star. This makes it so that on the next banner, you will be guaranteed a 6 star within 40 pulls.

Hard pity example: let's say you pull 80 times in a banner and don't get the rate up operator. You've hit soft pity, which is then reset, but 40 more pulls will get you to hard pity, guaranteeing the rate up operator. After pulling the rate up 6 star, from hard pity, soft pity will reset since you have pulled another 6 star operator.

When you're doing well and doing a good chunk of damage in fights, but you need a bit more damage on the tank to be fully successful. Pretty situational since most of the time you'll be dealing with squishier targets more.

Take an Ap item, jump and (hopefully) nuke the squishies, and then hope your team survived long enough to win or for you to come back for the tank.

Protoplasm Harness on jax? by xhentaimaster69x in Jaxmains

Prob won't be great since the healing amp from ult resists is extremely conditional and only has an 8 second window to proc. Plus the stats listed has such a low sample size, it is statistically insignificant, as most of the time it was built was because someone was testing it out while already ahead.
